  • Simetra, since you're a homeschooler, you should find time to read my "Alipang Havens" story.
    How large a cat? I've had a judge tell me that it's not unfair for ONE human to survive the massacre; so whatever size cat you send, Gripstone WILL find the strength to resist it if it finds the woman Pindra and is going to finish her before help comes.
    Josh seems to think that Drainor is free to leave Sennulf's troop at will. Perhaps, rather than argue with him about it, we could say that Drainor gave the Wolves the slip during Retaw's non-lethal bombardment.
    In case you missed seeing the post in which a note was written to be dropped on Sennulf, the note says that the good guys KNOW that Jadis intends to murder all humans, so a threat to kill the captives won't gain Sennulf anything, because the captives have nothing to lose by the good guys acting against the Wolves.

    Even before looking at what you've written (I looked at your VM first), I know that you will have tried to be fair and reasonable. I do wonder about the reasoning of the judges, though. I think I could have had 5,000 Jedi Knights on my side, and you nothing but one blind hobbit, and they still would have decided the duel purely on their ideas of narrative style.

    Can you agree to the outcome I imagined, with Sennulf thwarted but alive? It would have the merit of FINALLY breaking the *&\-@$:!! logjam.
    Today is my five-year mark in widowerhood (with my short time with Janalee fitted inside that period). Today I'm going to eat some canteloupe--because a piece of canteloupe fed to her by me was the last solid food Mary ever ate before she answered her invitation to the Lord's banquet table.
    I wonder how long it can possibly take for them to say "Your outcome to the duel was reasonable" or "Your outcome to the duel was unreasonable"?
    I actually have a good idea already how I plan to counter the bad guys, but I'm under so much stress now that I can't relax to do it. One issue is very mundane and material: I need to repair my earth-retaining wall.

    Had this been a real emergency, the glomp you just felt would have been accompanied by frantic shouts along the lines of 'AUGH! I'm suffering from glomp deprivation!' and general panic.

    I've been able to speak pretty openly about spiritual things to fellow cast members. Please pray for a woman there who calls herself Wisteria; she's a sort of occult fortuneteller type. Also, she has multiple sclerosis.
