The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe: The score was orchestrated, and is very beautiful, featuring vocalist Lisbeth Scott from the Passion of the Christ soundtrack. I highly recommend it.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe:Harry Gregson-Williams composed the score for this Narnia film. His previous scores have included Shrek, Shrek 2, Chicken Run, and Kingdom of Heaven. This should provide him with a challenging and fun project, and draw new fans to his music. Narnia is a dream project of his, as we reported here.
Prince Caspian:Harry Gregson-Williams will return to score the sequel, building on the themes he created for Narnia.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe: There is a song in the film during Hide and Seek, it is Oh, Johnny, Oh, Johnny, Oh, by The Andrews Sisters. The rest of the music is mostly featured on the soundtracks.
The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe: Rhythm & Hues has landed the role as lead special effects studio on Walt Disney Studios and Walden Media fantasy epic The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe, which Disney will distribute late next year.
Variety reports that R&H is expected to create more than 700 shots for the film, which will start lensing this summer in New Zealand, with "Shrek" series director Andrew Adamson from a script by Ann Peacock.
The effects studio has built a name for itself in creating digital characters, most recently for such films as Fox's Daredevil, Warner Bros.' Scooby-Doo and its sequel and Universal's Dr. Seuss' The Cat in the Hat. Its work will next be seen in Fox's upcoming Garfield and Universal's The Chronicles of Riddick.
For "The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe," R&H will create matte paintings, as well as bring to life a cast of creatures from the C.S. Lewis children's classic as photo-realistic computer-generated characters, including Aslan, a talking lion. They are utilizing MASSIVE, the special effects program created by Weta for the Lord of the Rings.
Two other effects houses are doing work on the same footage together with R&H: Industrial Light and Magic and Sony Imageworks.
Weta Workshop is doing the creatures, weapons and armor.
Prince Caspian: Two experienced London based companies, Framestore and the Moving Picture Company, will be replacing Rhythm and Hues, Sony Imageworks, and Industrial Light and Magic. Framestore and the Moving Picture Company have created effects for such films as the Harry Potter series, Troy, The Mummy Returns, Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, and Batman Begins, among many others.
The Sons of Adam and Daughters of Eve in the film speak with British accents. It is unknown if the Narnians will have an accent or not, but based on the cast, it appears that they will.
