The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe surpassed my expectations (and I was expecting alot)! It was very true to the book, and even though the director made a big deal about downplaying the Christian message in LWW, the Christian imagry was very evident, as well as who it was Aslan represented.
The acting of the children was wonderful, but I thought their adult counterparts could be better. Mr. Tumnus was amazing, giving the character depth. I was a bit worried that after a while the CGI animals would get a little old, but luckily they never did! The one thing I was dissapionted in is the Witch. She was elegant, strong, and evil, but not quite evil enough! For example, I thought she could have shown more emotion over her supposed "triumph" over Aslan.
The special effects and the Battle were very good; they managed to have plenty of action without gore. If you looked closely you could see blood, but otherwise it wasn't noticable. And whatever people say about the soundtrack, it was excellent! The music set a wonderfull tone for the entire movie.
Over all, this is one of the best family movies I have seen!
