I bought the BBC Chronicles of Narnia yesterday at Best Buy (I was fortunate to find the boxed DVD set of all three movies) and have watched LWW and TSC, but I have not yet watched Prince Caspain & The Voyage of the Dawn Treader. I must say that, although they didn't have the sort of technology we enjoy today, they did a marvelous job of making the films! The drama and acting were delicious, and they stayed very true to the books (with the exception of a few added scenes). Most of all the wonderful Christian themes that Lewis meant to have in these fairytales were left in the BBC movies, which touched my heart greatly. And the costumes and puppets were very cute.
Now, then, I don't know if anyone yet has posted this (if they have, forgive me!) but I wanted to share something that may be useful to you for the holidays: www.homevision.com/turkish/ This is a direct web page to a recipe to make Turkish Delight. I have never tasted this before, but I plan to make a batch for the holidays and see how popular it will become (maybe it will be something to pass on to future generations). Please enjoy!

Turrikish Delight... It's alright, but not the best. (Ya! Ricky, a fellow Aussie, in this land of Yankies and Poms!)

And Curumo, I wouldn't be too excited about making it. You may be in for a nasty shock..... Not the nicest confectionery in the world!

Well, the ingredients of lemon slices and an orange peel do sound a little odd...but, may as well give it a try, at least once...

I doubt if it was the chocolate-covered turkish delight, probably more like the stuff you can get in wooden boxes at Christmas, covered in icing sugar. But I agree, it isn't what I would have asked for if I was given the choice of anything to eat. (I'd've chosen caramels.

If you have the time, it would be great if people added information on the differences between the books and the BBC versions to the complete Narnia database that we're building: http://narniaconfidential.com/The%20BBC%20Movies Thanks! --Chris

I've already put something up for the upcoming Disney/Walden movie, so you can probably crib formatting from that page: http://narniaconfidential.com/The%20Disney%20Movies Basically, I just listed the differences. If you want to get more fancy, you might break it into three categories: additions, omissions, and changes. Of course, you don't have to do it the way that I did...that's the beauty of a community site! Thanks, Chris
