Who said it?

Was that Strawberry/Fledge to Digory and Polly when they were talking about not having food when they were camping on the way to the the garden with the apples of life in the Magician's Nephew? I believe one of the children said something about Aslan should have been able to send some food with them, and so this was Fledge's insightful response.
 
That's a tricky one. I have a feeling either Polly or Digory (or both) said it to the other the first time they met. Is that right?
 
I'm afraid not, Peepiceek. I'm a bit surprised because I thought this one was obvious, maybe because it's from my favourite scene in the books. I'll give a further clue. The book is The Horse and His Boy
