Talking Favorite book of the Bible?

I guess I can put this here....

So whats your favorite book of the Bible and why? My favorite is Revelation, because it tells what is going to happen at the End of the World, and a little of whats to come.

Well, my favorite Old Testament book is Isaiah, because it simply has such a vast wealth of content on many themes.

I love Isaiah too, and also Ezechiel and Jeremiah. Of the New Testament my 'favorite' book is Romans.

Though favorite might not be the right word

there was light and high beauty for ever beyond its reach.

Humdinger of a question...it's hard to choose.

I like Judges, Ecclesiastes, and the prophetic books in the Old Testament. And anything that includes a good story. (Have you all ever read Judges 9, about Abimelech and Jotham's curse? It's one of my favorites: rather epic.) In the New, the Gospels are probably my favorites.

My favorite book in the New Testament is Philipians because it's so cheerful and gives a lot of insight into Paul who is one of my favorite Bible people. My favorite book in the Old Testament is probably Daniel; I love reading all the prophesies and then looking at history and seeing where they were fulfilled. I also like Judges and Esther and Acts and Psalms and Proverbs and Ecclesiasties and Revelation...

Default Psalms

Psalms reminds me of who God is, who I am, why I need Him
and how to take the burdens of my heart to Him

Ruth is a far greater heroine than Esther. Esther was taken by force into the Persian king's harem, having no say about it at all, while Ruth went with Naomi into Israel entirely by her own free will, out of love and loyalty for her mother-in-law. Ruth was voluntarily going into an environment as alien to her as the Persian palace was to Esther. The one and only act of real heroism attributed to Esther was her going uninvited to the king's throne room, because she could potentially be put to death for it. But (1) her deciding to go was not all her doing, she had to be pumped up for it by Mordecai, and (2) she had to have had some awareness by this point that she already enjoyed the king's favor, and he would not be quick to condemn her. Ruth had less guarantee of being welcomed by Israelites than Esther had of being welcomed by the Persian king; and Ruth had no way of knowing she was going to luck out and meet Boaz.

So I am RUTHLESS in my preference for Ruth.

Hmmm, tough, a lot of them are up there like Genesis, Daniel, and the Gospel of John.

But I'd have to go with Leviticus.
