Timmy of Oz, in the Christianity and Narnia subforum thread, "Christians should/shouldn't write about pagan mythological creatures and space aliens" cites a thoughtful article on Lewis' legacy:

on being raised on Lewisian fantasy.

It was a good article, I liked at the end when the author's mom said she meet Lewis at a pub and got her drunk for her exams.:D Not being raised christian I didn't read CON till I was 22. But even at that age it had a big effect on me. You will always find a character that you will identify personally.
