Not quite a poem but something similar

(Yes I did invent the term 'Omnificent'.)

Window Seat

As we leave the ground, slowly His glory is revealed.
As we climb, the fields are lit but the late afternoon sun and its light is reflected off the river as it widens in the distance, His glory is reflected by all.
As we climb above the clouds, a new landscape is revealed, a soft turf of cloud so close you could walk on it, as we climb higher, meadows, fields, forests and mountains of clouds.
His world, created by His Word, declares His glory.
"Let there be waters above the heavens", and what beautiful clouds were created, "Let there be waters beneath the heavens", how they reflect His glory.
As I see the tiny little lakes thinly scattered through the fields and hills, and as the plains give way to mountains, I fear I will run out of words to describe His beauty.
What more can I say.
Creation beautifully reflects the beauty of its omnificent Creator.

I once wrote in "Marketplace of Technique" that, for a piece of writing to qualify as poetry, it must have at least one of the following attributes:

--- Some kind of rhythmic meter.

--- Sound associations, i.e. rhyme, alliteration, or both.

--- Hardest to define, a poetic "feel."

Gardener, your piece has much more of the "feel" than lots of what passes for poetry in snobbish modern magazines, and its content is far better than what passes for content in many of those magazine "poems." I therefore declare your work to be PRECISELY a poem!

Please write more stuff. I'm getting lonely here.

How great is our God, the rejected cornerstone
All stars in the universe, bow at his throne.
How great is our God, in all of his Fame
That each one of us, he still calls by name.
How great is our God, he shares our pain
and its by his help that we stay at all sane.
How great is our God, that he’s our friend
beyond when time itself does end.

To finish with, this IS song lyrics, relyricized.

For the whole world

Lord you created the world
Reflecting your glorious splendour
Now to live for you my king
That is my heart’s desire

You have opened my eyes
Shown me wonder by wonder
Your love for everything under
And throughout the skies

For the whole world
You gave up your life in heaven, you,
You surrendered all,
You took the shame,
Of those who would believe you

You saved the world
With a dazzling love I never knew
But when you are near
Its crystal clear
That now I’m in this whole new world for you
Now I’m in this whole new world with you

Unbelievable love
Lord your love has me reeling
Lord your love brings healing
Now we can shine your light

For the whole world
That only closed its eyes
Ignoring all the signs for us to see
And your great gift - there’s nothing better
‘Cos of who you are,
You came so far
To bring us back to what we’re made to be

You gave us the world
You gave to us your life
You gave us a chance to be with you
But we thought to do better
You let us anywhere
But we didn’t care
Yet you let us share this whole new world with you

You came to earth
To set us free
From your holy place
Amazing grace
From you to me
