The Lord of the Rings- J.R.R. Tolkien

Epic Metal!

Sauron... with Ozzy Osbourne?

Well, actually he's got the looks to be in Middle Earth... better, in Minas Morgul. But there are way so many other bands that would like to be in Middle Earth.

And, fans of modern and extreme Metal in Earth will surely go to Mount Doom... the most epic and brutal bands will be there, while in Rivendell will be the most epic and symphonic bands.

Or have you not looked at my signature?

As for the Evanescence video... it's pretty good, but Gothic Metal isn't enough to make justice to the epicness of LOTR.

Now, these songs are better:

Rhapsody - Emeral Sword

HammerFall - Hero's Return

Turisas - To Holmgard and Beyond _ Battle Metal

This last one has two songs.

So THAT'S where Grima was going!! To a rock concert :D And the Witch-King just delivered some tickets for the ultimate concert which is going to happen at Mount Doom :D I heard the Band of Khazad Dum will be there too :D

Btw...great clips!

Yes, yes... there's gonna be a really merry folk and metal weather in Rivendell and Mount Doom.

If some really small orcs are spotted, check closer... they're not orcs, they're Hobbits getting tougher.

And by the way, while reading some previous posts, I just read a new LOTR RPG was cancelled. That upsets me... sure it might never develop as something so huge as Final Fantasy series... but that RPG would be a golden dream for many Tolkiendilis.

As Sir Godfrey has said:
However I was searching online and I found that EA was working on open ended RPG called The Lord of the Rings: The White Council. So far it appears they have cancelled working on it, which is a shame because LOTR is a perfect universe for a open ended RPG.

The story was suppose to take place long before Sauron and forging of Rings of Power. So it would have been a totally new era to explore.

Yes, it is. It's been officailly absorbed into it's parent company, Warner Brothers. New Line had some major financail problems, and a number of legal issues ( mostly from Peter Jackson and the Tolkien Estate in terms of compensation they did not recieve.)

I didn't know that....so I guess The Hobbit is now in the hands of WArner Brothers.

Metal from Middle Earth

Mmh... Floggin Molly. They have a cool sound...

But that's not what dwarves are really into.

Stocky dwarf women are shown there.. and, for the sake of fragile minds, the dwarf women have no beards (Phew!:D)

As, for the fell, ominous guys from Mordor, Isengard and the past of Beleriand... mostly, Thangorodrim. They would never accept to show themselves on American Idol or something like that... unless a good dose of slaughter and fear are at hand.

By the way, it seems humans from Modern Earth, in one way or another, have reached Middle Earth once in their life. If not, then how come all these bands have such names?

Amon Amarth, Isengard, Gorgoroth, Burzum, Cirith Ungol, Cirith Gorgor, Dol Guldur, Sauron, Mordor and... well, I just haven't found them all.

Don't google them, save at your own risk.
Just take for granted what those names mean, it'll save you from a really horrible nightmare.

However, for a really merry time, with Hobbits, Dwarves and Men, and everyone who likes beer, here's this song:

Caspian is hiding in the popcorn maker in Mordor near Mt. Doom...Popcorn heats real well there.;)

And yet the little fuzz ball still manages to get home for breakfast and supper each day...With the popcorn maker. :D

Aslan blew him there. ;) :p

I watched Return of the King last night (extended edition) with the cast commentary. Yeah, I can honestly say; it was quite interesting. I wish that Viggo and some other cast members had been able to comment on it. :(
