Edmund's walks

[reviving this worthy discussion]
I was thinking about Edmunds walk toward the Stone Table as a prisoner of the White Witch. As the winter thaws into spring, so does Edmund's misconceptions and self-delusions about Jadis melt away, climaxing on his having pity for the poor animals she turns into stone. His heart which was so cold against his siblings --and his pride that kept him from honestly backing up his sister-- begin to break down, and it is softer, ploughed ground that receives Aslan's words at their private conference.
