Default Stupid Q&A Thread

ok, I found this very strange Q&A Thread at www.NaNoWriMo.org and thought it would be fun to bring something similar here. It's sort of like a mix between a random thread, a trivia thread, and open ended jokes (for lack of better term). It's pretty much all from the top of our heads and stupid stuff. Take a look at the above link if you don't understand.

For instance, in this thread mentioned, someone asks,
What's the worst thing to find out when you're riding a camel?

Then the next person wrote:
finding out you're really riding a squid.
What's the best way to break into showbusiness?

Then the next person writes:
A hammer!
(next question)

So each post, post an answer then a new question/joke.

I'll start.

Why can I only find one of my shoes?

Because you only have one foot.

Why is it that whenever I sit down to do something important, the phone rings?

lol! now that's what I'm talking about, rosymole. If you can think of one, please leave a question after the answer. If not, well, you might get stuck with something from me.

Why are there gophers surrounding my house?

There have been very complex scientific experiments trying to explain this baffling phoenomenon. As many of these experiments require the use of electric shocks, DNA samples, text book comparisons, lunch-money/bag-lunch ratios, bully/nerd ratios, I'd rather not comment.

Would a talking beaver make a good presidential candidate? Why or why not?
