Default (Sort of) New Rules and Regulations!

Rules
The original rules of the Dawn Treader still apply. They are as follows:
- No use of profanity is permitted here. That includes using initials or the starting and ending letters of a word with **** in-between.
- No content that could be considered lewd or sexual in nature is permitted.
- There shall be no content of any kind that shows characters in deep depression or having a destructive nature, either to others or to themselves.
- You cannot take over anyone else's character without their permission. If someone is banned then their position is up for grabs unless that role was what they were banned for. If you want to play someone, ask the person playing that character first.
-Each thread will have it's own specific rules given by the thread creator, so please refer to each RP for specif rules to it.

Here are other rules and regulations taken from the the Makeover thread.

– RP threads will be pre-approved by the mods. Do not start a thread without prior approval or it will be deleted without notice.
– Narnia related RP's will have priority.
– Other RP’s may be approved as long as they are in subjects that are important to this forum such as Lord of The Rings, Literature based (such as Shakespeare Related), The Legend of King Arthur, and Christian or Faith based RPs (Catholic and Protestant both are Christian), and others as the mods and especially admin see fit.
– Threads that have the best chance of being approved should have themes of nobility, chivalry, faith in God, triumph over adversity, sacrifice, love for others, and Godly or moral virtues.
– We plan to write rules for dealing with problem players
– The RP creator will have leeway on how the role play should go, the characters and participants, and will seek help from the mods to deal with problems/issues of concern.

At this time rules are in a fluid state, like caught in a subspace anomaly, as it usually happens in Star Trek, so they may evolve, or remain the same or change to something else altogether. However, remember that this forum supports traditional family values, and as such, any evolving will be within those guidelines. So in a nutshell, anything that is not family friendly is not allowed.

Some very sensible rules, BK, after all it is crucial that everyone playing RPGs on these threads has an enjoyable experience.
Just one query, concerning the ban on characters that are "destructive". As you are aware, my character Zamron, the minotaur, in "With Swords, Claws and Teeth Bared" was a willing follower of Jadis, which suggests he would by his very nature be evil and destructive. I am not trying to disagree with any of the rules, just requesting clarification.

Ah, yes, you noticed the "destructive" part of the rules. Well, let me explain. Back in the days when we had tons of RPs and players, some players loved to play villains who were absolutely destructive, while they themselves were indestructible. Some villains were portrayed to be so evil and crazy that they could would raze entire cities to the ground or slowly melt another being with a wave of their hands or a bolt of lighting or plasma from their eyes. Nothing you threw at them would ever work because they were either immune or evade your attack every single time. It was crazy to play with guys (and gals) like that. Those are the characters that the "destructive" part refer to. If you play a villain who is just normal destructive or mean and who stays alive due to cunning and smarts -as opposed to invincibility, and who is necessary for the story, then that's ok.
