I have not the slightest intention of harming your character, Flakefeather. However, I think it reasonable for the Jadisites in the hunting party to attempt (albeit unsuccessfully) to kill him, in view of his actions, as reported by the rat, Vermwood.

Point of information. Would any of the other assorted characters in the vicinity have seen or be aware of what Sareg has just seen and/or experienced?

I had Aslan give a rebuke to Sareg. I thought it was okay, because what I did left Sareg undamaged and free to continue as he would have done.

I noticed that. In fact I wondered whether you'd missed him out in error. Presumably not! No worries!

Note that I did not say _Hackroot_ would not be killed. (-:

Thanks for that, Copperfox! That is why in our "real" world The Lord allows evil people to do terrible things. What is not generally realised, is that although He allows us the freedom to do good or evil deeds, NOBODY is free from the CONSEQUENCES from such choices.
I must say that Aslan's intervention was very spectacular, and caught me by surprise! I knew that something was going to happen, but expected it would take place after Mauron and his party had "invited" Bronon to come and have a "chat" with Zamron and Ashraf.
I also assume that everyone in the area (Bronon, Mauron, Hackroot and the hunting party, plus Sareg) will have seen what occurred: whether they understand and can explain what has happened, of course, is another matter!

What I'm doing will make it clear that Aslan is not fooled by anything the vlllains are doing, AND make it clear that He can kill them anytime He chooses. That's only reasonable, since He is omnipotent. But unlike the two incinerated rank-and-file wolves, Mauron, Sareg, Ashraf and Zamron will not be killed anytime soon; they will be left their free-will choice to give up or keep on resisting.

Of course I don't mind you running a good-guy character, and right now I'm the only other person with a say in the matter. So I figure that the one Aslan appearance I intend to control will be to save Bronon, then leave Bronon to decide what he'll do.

No problem! I'm going to play him as young, inexperienced and a bit of a hot head, the kind of lad who's always getting himself into scrapes, mostly of his own making, although he means well. A bit like my namesake in fact!

Since for now it's only you and me, I must ask you to be prepared to manage a GOOD GUY. I'm thinking that you could play as an Archenlander scout of some kind; that the hungry wolf and some friends might surround him when he's alone -- but then I would have ASLAN appear, save the man, and warn the wolves that He won't be merciful forever. This would be a reminder that Aslan's side DID win the war, yet it would not for the present stop Zamron from doing what he would otherwise have been doing.
