Yes. Many have been displaced/relocated. We won't have to make up the 11 days missed and there will be no final exams this semester.

I believe I already said that it would have to have an author that Mister Lewis never invented, since he never depicted any sort of mer-people WITH NAMES.

Wow, I never knew your family was so musical! I'm working on getting a part of my project published in my state's music ed. journal, so I will definitely let you know when that happens in case you want to read it.

(part 2!) I do still love my topic and know that it's something that I will be able to use for the rest of my teaching career, and it has even made me consider taking a job as a paraprofessional for a special education class rather than being a music/band teacher because I want to help those students be successful. We shall see though, at this point I am still applying for music teacher jobs but have yet to have an interview which is discouraging. Trying to stay positive though!

I definitely will check out the contest, storyboard art is right up my alley! Hope you are well too!

I passed my defense and written/oral comps back at the end of April, thank you for asking! My master's was in music education so I decided to focus on strategies for including students with autism spectrum disorder in performance based music classes (band, choir) and also a discussion on the benefits of participation in those classes for kids with ASD. I feel like it's an important topic because in my experience many students with ASD get discouraged from being in those classes, and also many band/choir teachers don't have the knowledge/tools to incorporate students with ASD in a meaningful way so I hope that my research can be used in a way that will help many teachers and students.
