Thanks for that, Copperfox! That is why in our "real" world The Lord allows evil people to do terrible things. What is not generally realised, is that although He allows us the freedom to do good or evil deeds, NOBODY is free from the CONSEQUENCES from such choices.
I must say that Aslan's intervention was very spectacular, and caught me by surprise! I knew that something was going to happen, but expected it would take place after Mauron and his party had "invited" Bronon to come and have a "chat" with Zamron and Ashraf.
I also assume that everyone in the area (Bronon, Mauron, Hackroot and the hunting party, plus Sareg) will have seen what occurred: whether they understand and can explain what has happened, of course, is another matter!
