  • Oops I missed your birthday! Hope it was great!
I have a really good ear so I can pick out a lot of the music that I hear. Honestly, it's a blessing and a curse because then I don't want to work as hard on reading the notes. :) hopefully this Bach will help since you can't really pick out one of his inventions. :D
I really like Keith Green's works and can play the intro (or the part before the singing) on his song, The Prodigal Son Suite. Right now I'm composing for a picture with spirit and starting a two part invention by Bach. It's the first one of 15. What sort of music do you play most of the time? That's cool that you accompany ES on the recorder. I've tried to play that a couple of times but it never ends well. ;)
Everything. I've been taking lessons since I was... well, it's been 8 years since I started so I think that would have put me at 6 when I started. We've moved around a bit so I've had 4 different piano teachers. And all of them were very different. The teacher I have now focuses a lot on the technical aspects of piano - poise, expression, dynamics, etc. and I've learned a lot about theory and playing since I started taking from her 2 years ago. Mostly I like to just sit down and play whatever - improvising and letting my hands take over. It is generally reflective of my mood and feeling, but I LOVE doing it. That's really cool that you play at your church. My pastor has asked my dad to play (or me to accumpany my dad on the guitar) and neither of us are keen on doing it. :D Yes, yes - I know - chicken but I always get terribly nervous playing in front of a lot of people.
I saw on the website that you play classical music. :D I play piano and have been taking for 8 years. Do you??
:D I am very glad to have met him - a lot of the forums I have been on lack the kind of dedication and Christian advice that this one has (that I actually stumbled upon while looking on itunes for soundtracks). And may God light your path and HIS brilliant WORD guide your quests and paths.

i'm re-reading the Professor's Writing Club for fan-fic awards and I saw your poem about John. What a wonderful tribute!
For anybody who is checking my page, thank for stopping by! I don't post much, since I hear all the forum news from my EveningStar.
