  • I hope so. I have the outline of the final story complete. I just need to do a little work on the details etc. I've been very busy with other things this last year, hence my infrequent participation but I did see TVOTDT in 3D and was very pleased with it, despite the plot deviations.
Tarkaan! So good to see you return! I hope this means that your heroic archer will be returning too!
    In this line:

"We never mine enough of the quality we require..."

--the words "iron ore" need to be inserted. There is no such thing as mining finished steel. Otherwise, excellent writing as ever.
The Germans have this little Lied:
Lasst uns froh und munter sein

    1. Lasst uns froh und munter sein,
und uns recht von Herzen freun.
    Lustig, lustig tralalalala,
    bald ist Nikolausabend da,
    bald ist Nikolausabend da.

    Der Nikolaus - St Nicolas!

All part of our great European tradition with its roots in the deep past.
Hahahaha! That's funny :D Yeah both Jan and Kees are very common names over here. And on the way back from my trip to the US they showed a video about the origine of Saint Nicolas and as we thought...the name santa Claus and Sinterklaas (as we call Saint Nicolas) are related to the same historical figure :D
Tut tut, how dare they? Did you know one theory for the name Yankee is that it derives from a nick name for the Dutch settlers in New Netherland?
    Jan Kaas (Jan-Kees).
Edammer, Leerdammer and Goudse. Yeah they have their secrets although I doubt they are still a secret :D You're right. We are europeans and we must stick together to stand strong against the north-americans here :D
Leerdammer's better but you guys keep that one secret!
Us Europeans have to stick together, so friends we are.xxx
Hey siamese twinnie!! I don't think you are on my friends list so....friend request is sent to you now. Nope, no Edammer (Edam Cheese) included :p
Thanks Lossy it's great to get feedback, as I've never written anything before. I only 'seem' fast, as the whole story already exists in draught form. I generally review a chunk before posting it up and make any corrections then.
I'm currently working on ideas for the follow up story. I think it could be a trilogy but I'm not sure yet.
    Cheers :)
Hi. I don't suppose we've met? Feel free to call me Loss or Lossy.
I've been kind of following your stories. I have to say, you did a terrific job with the short story. The voice was just right. I'm also attempting to read your on-going story, and I really enjoy it. But you write definitely write fast, so I'm still way behind trying to catch up. (I blame that on limited computer time.) So, I just thought I'd let you know that I like your stories, but I may not reply in the thread any time soon because I'm still reading through it. :)
Still finding my feet I guess. A lot of it confuses me, but I'm easily confused. I'll get there in the end :)
