Since I haven't heard from you since around the time I last posted on your profile, I hope that God has indeed brought His comfort to your family.

I'm sorry to hear about your cousin. After being married twice and having each wife die of a fatal illness, I am familiar with losing loved ones. Let me tell you that God is creative in the ways He sends us His comfort. In my own losses, He used things ranging from peaches to penguins as symbols of His presence and love. I will pray for your whole family to draw closer to God in your sadness. The Bible says, "Draw near to Him, and He will draw near to you."

Human beings by nature are land creatures, not sea creatures. Thus it is more of an alien environment being on a Navy ship than being in an Army division. Army and Marine basic training is more demanding physically than the Navy equivalent; but serving in the Navy brings on special PSYCHOLOGICAL stresses, and the Navy has more of a unique set-apart culture to reflect the abnormal environment.

I was a submarine sailor for part of my career. You had to get used to your ENTIRE WORLD being a space about 320 feet long, 40 feet wide at the widest place, and three storeys high plus a sort of little cellar known as the bilges.
