  • What I want to do with "Alipang" is to make a voice recording of myself reading it aloud, to offer as an audiobook. If I do this, I will add a few scenes that are not in the written story. I'm glad you are enjoying it.
So far in my story I have shown one thing which could be called a robot: a large airplane with no people in it, being flown by remote control. Well, that and smaller drone aircraft.
Suelo! Good to see you back! Are you aware that I am still continuing the adventures of Alipang Havens? I now have him living in the year 2025, with a wife and three children, and a career as a dentist.
I've never been to HK but I have a lot of friends that spends their vacation or just simply shop...
Even though that I am not living in HK, we still have one thing in common...you grew up partly in ASIA and I too. :)
I grew up (partly) in Hong Kong, so when I saw your location my first thought was "Hong Kong!"
But a quick internet search told me that most people didn't call HK as the pearl of the orient... and you're biography (born in the Islands of 7,107) didn't sound like HK, so I figured I'd ask... :)
I see your location is "Pearl of the Orient."
Are you really in the Philippines?

(Or perhaps you are in Hong Kong? "Pearl of the Orient" is a name Hong Kong likes to call itself [at least in Chinese].)
Haven't seen you in awhile. If you care to look at the thread for Alipang Havens, starting on Page 67, I am writing a NEW story that takes place in the future.
If you feel okay about giving me your e-mail address, I could send you an essay I wrote about people's attitudes toward horror stories.
Thank you! As one of the few grandparents active on this forum, I feel a responsibility, almost as if I were one of the Mods, to encourage good thinking in young people. And worshipping vampires as gods is NOT good thinking.
The Twilight thing is more or less a satire. Back when this forum had free roleplaying, Barbarian King and I--because we were both disgusted with people admiring vampires--roleplayed as superheroes who were more powerful than any vampires. The story is based on that, and allows B-King and me to express ourselves.
Yes, it was hard. But it is my experience of God comforting me in loss that made me able to write such a poem as I wrote about YOUR loss.
Yes. I joined the Navy at an older age than most men join: I was 34. I stayed in for 20 years. I spent some time out at sea, and had a three-year assignment in Japan. My first wife Mary died and went to Heaven when I was just two years away from retiring. I married another woman, called Janalee; SHE also died, after only two and a half years of marriage. Now I am retired, living in Colorado.
