  • Waldo keeps peeking into your loan situation, now that you mentioned how no one would want to look into it. You really should watch your tongue around him--grrr! Wal! do! *grabs Waldo by the back of his sweater and pulls him out of the bank*
    :p Life....

Waldo! Stop that! Out of my room! Out! I'm reading about classroom management, not smilie management. Go to the boys' side of campus. *shoos Waldo out the door*
    Stupid iPad....

And they may be run-of-the-mill, but they still require a visit to--

Well, that part hasn't been quite figured out yet...which probably accounts for all the insanity in Dufferland. Dozens of untreated concussion cases walking around....
Sushi's needs are not physical. He actually stands more in need of personal affirmation than anything else. So tell Dr. Cran the thermometer won't help.

For some reason, Sushi's operas seem to get poor critical reviews. It's very hard on his nerves.
Ah. Well...the title was supposed to be "The Slow Slow Death of Father Christmas" until Sushi got farther along in the opera and named it "Giovanni e Maria morir ma da Natale festa in cui they died when the tree caught fire and burned the ceiling above the chandelier which collapsed and killed everyone beneath it which was actually everyone at the party." I told him it was a run-on title, but Sushi said there was no such thing.
Have a blessed Christmas (with lots of music and less patent law). Sushi sends his highest regards, and an unfinished opera, which I have trashed. There was too much in it about people dying at Christmas parties and...well.
I was always more interested in writing than teaching, which is half my problem. But, I can teach if all else fails. The practical reasons were why I went for the degree anyway (and I did get at least some liberal arts, thanks to history and the three philosophy courses I manipulated into my schedule). My college has a lower level of accreditation now, though, and I'll have to find a way to get around that if I want to actually teach. I've thought about substitute teaching to help pay for grad school, but I'm not sure yet.

Oh--and I like the choir.:p The good thing about a classical education is that, since it's so book based, you can move toward one on your own, no matter what you're teachers do. The languages are the main hard part about doing it on your own. My Latin is quite pathetic.
I don't mind school as much as the education program. I guess I'm personally inclined to a classical style of education even though I've never gotten one, and the current stuff seems shallow and boring. But if I told any of my ed. profs that, I would get The Look. Classical ed. is out, and John Dewey is in. Being trained in education makes it easier to be in a classroom the first time, but it also involves a lot of required nonsense.

I wish I could go to school for something worthwhile in itself, but I'll need a job first. The local library has a part time position open now, but it probably won't be once I'm done student teaching. I doubt I'll end up in a lawyer's office, but it's hard to know what I'll be doing to pay for grad school.

Frankly, I'd be impressed that you know enough of a language to teach it. But some people are good at missing the important things in life.
From teaching to a law firm...that's quite a change. Are you interested in working in a law firm as a career?

I finish my undergrad this May. I have to go back to college (yuck) to student teach (eek), but I'll be glad to get it over with. I'll have to start looking at online grad schools this month, probably, which will make it extra strange to be back. I've had senioritis since I began my junior year, and I'm hoping I can stave it off enough to concentrate on lesson plans and other lovely (and useless, but graded) student teach-y things.
Thanks for asking. I think it went all right; I'll find out in another month. Meanwhile, test #2 is on Friday. It involves math. Eek. :p ;)

How have you been, by the way? Are you still teaching?
You have to re-apply for the program? Agh. I am sorry... Yes, good idea to have a back-up plan. You sound like you are approaching this maturely.
Ah, I see... Sometimes that is the best. I was going to be doing my Teaching Credential starting this year, but I couldn't pass the stupid entrance tests (horrible test-taker am I)... but, it is nice taking the break from doing schoolwork... Helps me focus on teaching school...
Yah, hopefully you can find one soon! :)
haha I hate it when that happens...

hmmm... at least three years, but, we are open to whatever.

How is school going for you?
Yah, it's not exactly my favorite thing... lol

Oh, yes, husband and I love it. :) I have been here since June :) Yup, married life is still good! Awww thanks! :D
gah! Don't go doing that! Well, that is very good to hear. I wouldn't want you going and hurting yourself too bad...

Doing pretty good... I am going to the US embassy today to talk to them about notarizing my driver's licence so I can get a korean one :p so... that I can hopefully avoid what you just got yourself into... hmmm...
