  • In case you haven't figured it out, I created the character of Duncan MacBrae as an idealized illustration of how a man ought to treat women.
Thanks for the update. I have long been aware that "Screwtape" had been adapted for the stage, though I've never SEEN it done. Depending on how much time you have, I would love it if you could read my longer works, such as "The Tale of Sophia Renee."
It's been too long since I heard from you! Have you checked out my latest poems in the Sonnets thread?
And thank you for freshly reminding me about Rachel. If boys were taught to be honorable men, it would become easy for girls to lead good lives. But honorable men are often ridiculed in our time, which makes it harder to get boys interested in being honorable.
Good to see you contributing again. I seem to remember you raising a spiritual need to me many months ago. How is that friend of yours doing?
Pardon the intrusion--but seeing that many other TDL members will publicize things they write, I am going to try likewise to attract readers to my story in progress in the Writing Club. Set in China and the Indian Ocean about a thousand years ago, it is titled "Flying Girl and Iron Merchant."
for where I go too, it costs 43,000 roughly, but that includes the uniforms and culinary kit, but it's still pretty high...0.o...
The 15 month program I'm in gets my my Associates in Baking and Pastry. I'm not quite sure if the school I go to offers a bachelors or not, because it's signed up with different schools where you can transfer all the credits to them and finish a bachelors degree in science and nutrition and things like that. it'd be NICE if a bachelors was available here, but..eh...I dunno. *shrugs*
Well, I just started a few weeks ago, and the way this program runs is one class is three weeks long. So when I first started, I had Introduction to Baking and Pastry which was a 4 1/2 hr class that lasted three weeks. I just started my next two classes (two because they're both academic) Sanitation and College success, and they're 3 weeks too. Then after this I think I have Introduction to Culinary (or something similar) which is another 4 1/2 hr class, and then I have after that I take another cooking class that's 4 1/2 hours, but I forgot what it was, exactly. That's what I'm taking for this first term, and I don't know what else I'm going to be taking in the next terms to follow.
Well, it's nice to meet you, Anna! Everyone calls me LC or Amy, and I go to the Cooking and Hospitality Institute of Chicago, which is one of the Le Courdon Bleu schools in North America. I'm only in the Baking and Pastry program and it's really really intense. If you don't have a passion for it or if you aren't insane, don't go into it! :p and only a tiny bit of that is slightly joking. it's really intense, and a whole lot of hard work.
Well Ana, I'm glad to hear that you are awesome...and humble to right:) I love tolkien but do more Lewis stuff (otherwise why would I be a member hear?) I "met" you on the Socratic Club dating conversation. I think you're right about needing to now the Guy before you start dating him. See you later.
Thank you for the visitor message, I really do appreciate it. And if I ever need to talk, I'm glad I have sum1 to talk 2.

I actually used the Print Screen button on the keyboard. I pressed it when I got to the right "page", then pasted it into a graphics program, and cropped out the image.
