  • Welcome back! I bet you haven't heard that I'm getting married again -- a week from today! A prayer topic titled "Copperfox and His Lady" tells about it.
    I used to kind of like the movie, but then I heard the original recording and could never go back.
    I'm very specific about what version of musicals I like, I guess.
    oooh, Assassins. I don't know anybody else who knew that existed. :D I love that one, too, though it is very bitter.
    Sunday in the Park is gorgeous; I love how he adapted a painting of all things into a full show. (and the score is beautiful, I love the musical "dots")
    Into the Wood is hilarious (I just love Bernadette Peters as the Witch), even though I cry at the end.

    me = total nerd.

    also, do you like Sweeney Todd? I love the show but I hated the movie so much.
    Nice, I like West Side as well, though it's not my fav. But I LOVE a lot of musicals....Les Miserables, Cats, Rent, Company, Sunday in the Park with George, Hair...lots!
    Company is my all time favourite, though. followed by Les Mis (which is also my favourite book)
    I'm a HUGE fan of Stephen Sondheim, in general. Man's a genius.

    As for non-musicals, Angels in America, The Homecoming, and the Glass Menagerie are plays I like a lot.
    Soon turning sixty, and finances getting ever worse due to the lousy economy; I am just about convinced that God has no intention of letting me have a new wife.
    Well, since you last conversed with me, I've racked up another six or seven women who looked like new marital prospects, but didn't work out. One, in fact, was the widowed mother of our own Gentle Voice. This mother, a good Christian lady, actually did like me, but was not emotionally ready to love ANY new man.
