If you had a choice, where would you rather live, in Middle Earth or Narnia? My choice would be Narnia. Most of the time it was a far safer place to live then Middle Earth. Narnia has a far greater diversity of creatures inhabiting it, mostly good and friendly ones. All in all, it appears to be a happier place to be.

I don't think I could choose really- it's a tricky one!
Narnia does indeed seem like the more peaceful place, but do you want to ahppy and quiet andpeaceful all the time- you could always live in the Shire or Rivendell?
I'm gonna have to think about this one!

Yes, but the peace they had came with a price. Rangers secured the peace of the Shire, guarding it from enemies without. Rivendell was secured by guards and hidden patols. If one just wanted to go on a long sight-seeing journey within Middle Earth, regardless of the Age we are talking about, this trip would be filled with dangers and hardships. Such a trip in Narnia, while not totally risk free, would be much safer and filled with more unexpected pleasent surprizes I would guess.

I believe I would want to live in Narnia. It would be awesome to be around all the creatures that live there and more than anything else.....Aslan is in that place. Maybe not all the time, but he pops in everyonce in awhile.

I dont know. That is really a tough choice. I think they both have there plus and minus.
Narnia-I would like to live here because it is safe, you can talk to animals, and it seems so happy and cheerful (just as many of you have stated)

Middle Earth-I would like to live here because i like excitiment and battle. Going into creepy, mysterious places. There are peaceful places, but also places full of danger. I like the whole save the world kind of thing, so i think i would be better fitting in Middle Earth.

I, personally, wouldnt want to live in either due to the lack of televisions and refrigerators. But thats just a personal opinion...

Oh, and indoor plumbing...and running water..and I don't think they have Snickers bars in Narnia or Middle Earth either!

Ok- IF they were real and IF I ever had that choice I would defiantly live in Middle Earth - preferably in Rivendell, Lothorian, or on patrol with the Dunadan rangers...course I'd probably die within a week.... but hey...why postpone the inevitable anyway???? :D

Well, I really don't know. probobly Narnia, because well for one thing, I agree with GrayCloak, I WOULD DIE, except, it would take a about 24 hours, at tops. ;)

Depends on the time period -- after Aragorn came to reign as king, everything was supposed to be peachy in Middle Earth, but then the elves were also forsaking Middle Earth, so Lorien and Rivendell would be no more --

-- and what if you decided to live in Narnia, and ended up there during the 100 years of winter? Or in Prince Caspian, Aslan hints that in the past when the Telmarines conquered Narnia, it was because Narnia was in some state of unrest or dilapidation, so you wouldn't want to be in Narnia then...

You would have to specify a time frame ...

That is true Inkspot, that makes the decision even harder! ;) Although, as long as you did not live in Lorien or Rivendell, it would be fine place to live when Aragorn was King.

I added a poll. Hope you don't mind. ;-)

Oh, and a side note. By Narnia, are you including the surrounding lands like Archenland, Calormen, and the Wild Lands of the North?

How can you just ask a question like this? There's too many conditions and qualifiers involved, I mean, I kept going back and forth trying to think of an answer.

Finally, I just chose Narnia...only cause I'm reading the book to my lil' sis again.

i would like to live in Narnia more than Middle Earth because it seems so simple and more peacefull In reality I would rather live in heaven or I would like to live in a place with Turkish customs speaking English with all my friends and relatives which would be impossible on Earth

Legolas, just think, you can go out in Narnia, have a nice conversation with a passing bird (who can help you find your way back home if need be), have a dance with a beautiful tree spirit, and you may even get invited over to dinner by some Beavers. All in one afternoon. Middle Earth can't beat this.

Oh, from all your whining about French class, I would have thought you hated languages ... :p

Mais oui! LOL... In England English may be a language, in the USA it is an amalgam. :)

Sorry to get off topic. I would choose Narnia on the off chance of meeting Aslan! If not for that, I would choose Middle Earth as it seems more real and fraught with adventure.

I would definatley like to live in Narnia. Because it just seems more peaceful. I mean, in Middle Earth, there are all these dark forces, and it just seems so...complicated. Narnia just seems....simple ^_^

I'm not sure here, i'm having mixed feelings between getting to know all sorts of talking beast and having the chance to see a wizard come around once in awhile that will smoke a good weed with me (ps weed as in tobacco). Tough stuff.

I so voted Middle Earth. I'm a rather big Narnia fan, but...I'm a bigger LOTR fan. Beautiful terrain, Middle Earth/New Zealand has. I haven't seen the movie for Narnia yet though, so I don't know what the geography of Narnia is.

If you gave me the choice to alternate between worlds, I would, but I voted for Middle-earth. I would so love to make my home at one of these three locations:

1) Minas Tirith (aka Minas Anor)
2) Orthanc
3) Emyn Arnen

Middle-earth is much more alluring to me.
