Tirian of Narnia

Who's your favorite character TLB? Weather it be Pogin, Jewel, or the coolest Narnian ever(Tirian), here is the place to tell people. It's not required, but it would be good to have a reason why he/she is your favorite. Even if it's as simple as "He's all brave and stuff" or "cuz he makes me laugh".

My favorite is Lucy, even though she has a somewhat minor role until the very end. After everyone was safely tucked away in the garden in the new Narnia, Lucy was the only one who had the sense to question how long they would be there.

mine is Lucy too, this part is great!!:
He (=Tirian) looked round again and could hardly believe his eyes. there was a blue sky overhead, and grassy country spreading as far as he could see in every direction, and his new friend all round him, laughing.
"It seems, then," said Tirian, smiling himself, "that the Stable seen from within and the Stable seen from without are two different places."
"Yes," said the Lord Digory. "Its inside is bigger than its outside."
"Yes," said Queen Lucy. "In our world too, a stable once had something inside it that was bigger than our whole world."
It was the first time she had spoken, and from the thrill in her voice Tirian now knew why. She was drinking everything in even more deeply than the others. She had been too happy to speak.
i love that part!
and Lucy is also very caring about the dwarfs, that's cool too! :)

Moving this on over to the Last Battle thread. Also, I think there's a similar thread already in existence, so don't be surprised if I merge the two.
My personal favorite was Tirian, though Jewel the Unicorn came a close second.

Yeah, Tirian's pretty hard to beat. Kind of reminds me of the Biblical King Josiah, who represented a last blaze of Godly glory before the kingdom of Judah strayed so far from God as to bring chastisement on itself.

My favorites are
King Tirian: he tried his hardest to rouse the true Narnians, and put up a gallant fight until the end.
Jewel the Unicorn: such total devotion to the King!:)
Emeth: I don't really know why, his character is touching in some way...

Yah, it's good to bring up biblical examples since CS Lewis was a Christian himself, as am I, and Narnia in its entirety is merely a symbolic tale about Christianity.
My favorite character in The Last Battle is Tirian, though I think The Last Battle isn't the best book to be choosing favorite characters.

I would like to make it known (as I and others have before) that C.S. Lewis did NOT want the books to be read while being directly linked with Christianity. Yes, there are some amazing similarities, but that's only because Lewis' imagination lied in his thoughts of what heaven should be like, etc. However, he didn't want people to think that it was merely a "Christian Book", so he never wanted it read with the Christian analogy in mind. Sooo.... yeah. Just... keep that in mind. =)
That being said, Puzzle is my favorite.

My favourite character was Shasta/King Cor (even though he appeared in the very end of the book). I just took a liking to him when I read The Horse and His Boy, and he's been my favourite character ever since. ^^

And your authority for this rather large claim would be...?

In the last battle I would say Aslan, but over the whole series I would have to say Edmund because I can relate to him more than the other characters

I added a poll and voted for Emeth, just because I like his story, and the way he blunders into the new Narnia and dares to approach Aslan even if he might be killed, because it would be worth it to come to know the Lion ... it's sweet. Plus I figure everyone else will vote for Tirian and Jewel. Although Tirian seems like kind of a failure to me, not knowing what's going on in his own kingdom.

I couldn't really say who is my absolute favorite as a lot of the characters in the Last Battle are really incredible and I have a lot of depth, but I really like how compassionate Jill is to Puzzle. I also think Emeth is really cool, even though he thinks he is following Tash, he is so devout that it really impressed me.

Aside from Aslan, Tirian.

I like Puzzle cuz he's so sweet and innocent. But he sometimes got on my nerves cuz he really is smart but he always just let Shift use him. Emeth is another one of my favorite characters. I love the part when he talks to Aslan. It gives me shivers!
