ahh yes charlie does look like a good one.
Kingdom of heaven, not so sure, because of how many epics do we need these days now? I mean we are getting like two a year now. Just so many of them.

I'm interested in KoH, but I can't believe (as is my understanding) that they gave Orlando Bloom a better role than Liam Neeson or Jeremy Irons!
Anyhow, that, RotS, and Pink Panther are all I'm interested in--so far!

Somehow I can't see Olando Bloom being the right actor for any part, but hey that might just be because I can't stand him and I think he's a horrible actor. *shuns Orlando Bloom fans* sorry Puddleglum
I think the storyline is going to be "eh" too. I don't think I'll see KoH.
War of the Worlds might be interesting. I'll probably see RotS, but I think my favorite part will be the LWW preview, lol.

Thus saith the guy with the Orlando Bloom pic as his avvie--big surprise, lol!
DoLW, War of the Worlds looks like it has some potential, but not much. I might go to that one, but I doubt it, since I go to very few movies.
KoH-I'm interested because I really, really, like Medieval Warfare and History, and The Crusades were a big part of that era.

Big movies of the summer?
"Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy" (well, April is close enough to summer isn't it?)
"Batman Begins"
"Fantastic Four"
"War of the Worlds"
"Charlie and the Chocolate Factory"
pacifiquesea

Hitchhiker's is practically now, it's spring. Less than two weeks!
Kingdom of Heaven is, of course going to be awful. Just like Troy and Arthur and the 80 billion other "epics." Orlando holds a special place in my heart because of his terrible acting. But did you see the clip where he's the one giving the rousing Aragorn-esque speech to his army? Come on. . .

"Kindom of Heaven"
"Fantastic Four"
I'm planning on seeing KoH for my birthday...you know, I'm not a big Orrie fan, but he looks pretty good now that he's put on fifteen pounds, he might just work for this role.

beside ROTS :) there's alot:
Batman Begins
Madagascar (luv pixar movies)
War of the World
Mr & Miss Smith
Domino :D going to be saaaaWEET!
Unleashed aka Danny the Dog
Hitchiker guide to Galaxy
The Longest Yard :) i like adam sandler movies.
Fantastic Four
and i'm sure there's more i can't remember atm.

I want to see The Island (Ewan Mcgregor!)
The Intrepretor (which sounds fascinating!)
The Fantastic Four (which looks a little cheesy)
War of the Worlds (which i doubt would be good)
Hitchiker and..
STAR WARS!
My Mam would probably drag me to see KoH. She's a huge fan (i'd like to stress the word "huge") of Orlando Bloom, which is rather depressing since I'm supposed to be the besotted one.

Have y'all bought your tickets for RotS yet???
I bought mine on Tuesday, but I had to settle for the 12:05 showing, not the 12:01, cuz that was already sold out. It's still DLP, of course, which is sweetness.
I'm trying to convince a friend of mine to campout for all of us (he's in college, and he'll be out of school by the 19th), and since I won't be able to get to the theatre til around 6, I really think we need someone who can get us a place in line so we don't get lousy seats.
lsipher
04-22-2005, 02:34 AM
I'm trying to figure out how early I need to be at the theatre for the 12:01 showing...I don't think it'll be THAT crowded...maybe 8 o'clock?

Prince, are you in the USA? You can go to www.fandango.com and input your ZIP code for your nearest cinemas, and under select movie, choose Star Wars. It will tell you the movie opens May 19, and then there will be a link for May 18 show times, and it will show you which nearby cinemas are having a 12 or 12:01 showing.

Some Spoilers for Kingdom of Heaven
Anyways, just wanted to let you know i saw kingdom of heaven last night. It um, was just blah to me. I didn't feel for the characters, i knew when i was suppose to, but it wasn't stirred in me. My buddy felt the same way about it too. Now I think it is Jeremy Irons who plays Professor Reamus Lupin in the Harry Potter movies, now he was great in this movie. I swear the best people for the parts were killed early on, lol. We think that maybe if this movie had come out instead of gladiator at the time that one did, we would have liked this movie more, but maybe people are tired of epics and we need something more than just the formula being overused right now. It was at least entertaining, the church is not completely bashed in it. Orlando really is not an empowering lead actor in my opinion, but its like he did the best he could, he just wasn't right for the part. Kind of the same way that Michael Keaton did a great Bruce wayne but he wasn't the dark knight. Its just that kind of thing i guess. Well I hope you know what i mean.

Anyways, i'm so stoked about revenge of the sith right now. I'm just so excited about this one.

Hey Tg, your sort-of review of "Kingdom of Heaven" was good. I read it to Gleeleaf, and she agreed that you just put your opinion down very well without being exaggerated, rude, and all that other stuff people usually do when they don't like a movie. ;) I haven't seen it yet, but I have a feeling I'll think the same about it as you and your friend did. Bloom needs to grasp his own acting personality. Maybe he just needs more experience.
As for "Charlie & the Chocolate Factory," you're right; I saw a preview a few times then I haven't really heard of it since... Maybe I'm just out of it though, 'cause, yep, my mind is stuck on Star Wars too. :D

Saw KoH the other day...it was okay. Didn't get real into it. Orlando Bloom does indeed look better now that he's bulked out a little.
Afterwards I went home and watched Gladiator...and cried at the ending.
Know why KoH didn't do better...two words...Russel Crowe *sigh*.

i love gladiator, wished i owned it, but saw it 5 years after it came out, then couldn't find it anywhere :( o well, what can u do.

I'll see 'Charlie', but I'm not that excited about it. It may be quite good, but Johnny Depp is too young to play Willy Wonka. I'm not saying that he's a bad actor: Just too young. We'll just have to see how he pulls off the part.
Nothing else looks any good.
