Jeez...I think this is my first time writing poetry. Oh, well, hope you guys like it. This is just the beginning of it, haven't really gotten far.

For Narnia

Under scratchy, alien sheets,
A girl begins to cry,
For what was taken from her,
For her father, sure to die.

A boy sits by the window,
Staring out into rainy gloom,
Concealing tears behind his eyes,
Wary of impending doom.

Another girl stands silent,
Waiting by the phone,
Perhaps to hear her mother’s voice
Saying “Darling, you’re not alone.”

And in a darkened corner,
A boy sits in confusion,
Sees his father standing before him,
And begins to cry at the illusion.

Emerging from the sheets,
The young girl finds it dark,
Her siblings are asleep;
Into sad dreams they embark.

She finds and lights a candle,
To shine a pathway through the night,
And sets off with a grim smile,
To prove that she is right.

Upon hearing tales of Tumnus,
Myths of witches, dwarves and elves,
Lucy’s siblings stand, listening,
Muttering, disbelieving, to themselves.

They don’t understand her reasoning,
Why she would be so keen to bluff,
And the confused conversation ends
With “Lucy, that’s enough.”

And so one fateful spring day,
While playing a wild outdoor game,
Edmund steps up to the plate,
And soon regrets his lousy aim.

Upsetting the Macready,
The children turned and fled,
And set off to hide in the wardrobe,
Oblivious of what lie ahead.

As they huddled to the back,
And tried their best to freeze,
A soft, chilly wind
Began to tickle at their knees.

When they emerged into Narnia,
Immersed in a layer of glistening snow,
They started into a clearing,
Where they met a lantern's warm glow.

It's too long for me to read it, hehe, but I read this werse:

They don’t understand her reasoning,
Why she would be so keen to bluff,
And the confused conversation ends
With “Lucy, that’s enough.”

I think it's cool :)
