Edmund...and this has nothing to do with Skandar...
1] He's older

2] He's blonde

3] He's.....a King..pssfttt :p

4] He's braver, I mean, he didnt need to be turned into a dragon to make sense of himself! Thats enough proof rite there!

5] Most importantly, he's a PEVENSIE!

Skandar could probably beat up any unlucky kid that would play Eustace

If Ed knocking Eustace, he will cry and run hiding, and he'll attack Ed with his words :D Then, his parents will came and blame the whole things to Ed. So......Eustace is a hard enemy for Ed and he still win.
It's not because of Eustace's parents help.....but it called STRATEGY :D
What a bad and funny idea to met them in a children battle

Please remember, we're talking nasty pre-Aslan Edmund vs. obnoxious pre-Aslan Eustace. But I have to put my money on Edmund, because he's slightly older, and because he has Peter periodically bashing him for being mean to Lucy, so he's more used to pain. Eustace had never even had his fanny swatted. However, the fight consists of Edmund smacking Eustace one time and Eustace running off shouting "Alberta! Edmund hit me!" -- I hardly call that a significant victory.

Narniarules
04-22-2006, 03:10 PM
Obviously Edmund because he is strong he is older and he is a king of narnia and he has good ablities to beat Eustace because Eustace is just an ordimary boy who has a bad mouth but Edmund can just beat Eustace up..

In VotDT, Eustace is described as "a puny little person who couldn't have stood up to even Lucy, let alone Edmund, in a fight". (lol i love that sentence) So I definatly say Edmund would win :p

I think Edmund would but for these reasons:

1) He's experienced and works through strategy, not just swinging and hoping he hits the other person.

2) He's a king. Enough said.

3) I think he's been in more battles than Eustace, actually Eustace hasn't been in any...except for the last battle.

But, it depends on WHEN this fight would take place. In case you haven't noticed, Eustace is just as good as Edmund in the last book as Edmund ever was. He was much more mature and stronger than in TDT, so if it's there I can't say. But in PC or in TDT or in LWW even, Edmund would win, just because he's older. Older people stink. :D

;)

06-25-2006, 10:22 PM
I think Edmund because in VDT it says that Euctace coulnd't have even stood up to Lucy in a fight!!!

*snigger* I know, that was funny. I'd actually like to see Edmund and Eustace fight. Lewis should have made them start fist fighting while in the bedroom before they got sucked into the portrait. That would have been HILARIOUS.

Poor Eustace couldn't help being such a sissy. There was almost something really comical about his character.

Poor Eustace couldn't help being such a sissy. There was almost something really comical about his character.

"There once was a boy called Eustace Clarence Scrubb, and he almost deserved it"

It says it all.

hard 2 say...they are both strong but i remember in VoTD it said Eusatce could not win a fight against Edmund, let alone Lucy :D but, if they were on earth i would say Ed but if they were in Narnia..hmmm i could not choose

is it any question that edmund would win

Something Wicked!!!~.^

Is there even a doubt? Of course it'd be Edmund- though I'm thinking of the Ed from the books or the old movies boy was he yummy not like this new dude he seems a bit idon'know- just not like I pictured him(had to check myself before I said anything bad infronta all these Skanderites) :D

King Ed versus and Eustace, Ed. But England Ed versus England Eustace, probably Eustace, he seems like the kind of person who would be very self-concious. And would probably go to health clubs and stuff. And get muscly.

~Sweet Angel~
07-13-2006, 05:48 PM
I think Edmund would because if I'm correct, he's stronger and older that Eustace.

I don't know. Eustace sounds like a snotty kid in the book. And Edmund is older. So I still don't know...there's two way's this could go????

Oddish
07-14-2006, 03:59 AM
If we're talking King Edmund vs. pre-Narnia Eustace, it's no doubt. I mean, pre-Narnia Peter would get whomped by post-Narnia Edmund. So the only way pre-Narnia Eustace could prevail against King Edmund the Just would be if he whipped out a Thompson .45-caliber submachine gun (yes, they were around in the '40's) and blasted him with it at close range. Yes, he'd probably miss most of the shots, but those things hold 50 bullets and by sheer luck, he'd probably hit with at least one. Without something like that, Eustace would be chunk salsa in 10 seconds. However, post-Narnia Eustace would be a more significant adversary. I think that Ed would win, but it would be a far more difficult fight for him. And pre-Narnia Ed vs. pre-Narnia Eustace would consist of girly fighthing with no one doing any real damage until Eustace happened to stub his toe or bump his head or something, and he would scurry off and tattle.

Crimson
07-15-2006, 09:11 PM
I dont think Ed would automatically win..It depends like i said above if they were in Narnia, if back on earth...then maybe Edmund. but Eusatce was stronger in narnia then he was in earth

Rude Edmund vs. Rude Eustace?

Edmund. Rude Eustace is a total pansy.

and

King Edmund vs. Noble Eustace...

Ed. again. Edmund is just...idk, better?

definitely edmund.

if it was an annoying contest eustace would win, but other than that he comes off as coward and wimpy, edmund also has his wand breaking skills

I guess my question is, "Why would they want to fight in the first place?"

I have seen this same kind of question in other areas as well - "Who would be beat the other in a fight - Jesus or the Buddha?" - Why would they fight in the first place, even if they lived in the same period of time, which they did not? They would probably spend time in philosophical discussion, laughter and joy.

well if edmund was fighting eustace, perhaps it was before the brat learned to be nicer. heck, i'd throw eustace a punch in the face if i was stuck in the dawn treader.

Why don't you post this Buddha vs Jesus in the Socratic section of our forum, and say Which philopsiphy would WIN?" LOLOL because we know that Buddha and Jesus wou;d NOT be beating each other up!

IceMaiden - asking whether Buddhism or Christianity would win would be like asking which would be better - ice cream or gasoline? They are not relevant from the point of comparison in the "debate" area, unless you wish to discuss which has "better ethics" - but as they teach the same basic ethics, the answer is going to end up, imho, a resounding "yes".

And again, which philosophy would win what? A fight? How funny! Thank you for making my evening with a bit more joy.

timbalionguy
09-25-2006, 04:58 PM
Interesting question. pre-Narnia, Edmond would beat Eustace effortlessly, and he would run off looking for some Plumtree Vitimanized Nerve Food.

Post LWW/VoDT? Edmund would still win, but it would be closer. Now, if Edmund had encountered Eustace as a dragon, the only way to tell is DNA evidence in Eustace dragon's droppings (and even that would be tough).

Post SC (no one has talked about that!), it would probably be a pretty even fight. Although Eustace still had some significant shortcomings in SC, he had matured a great deal and was much more the warrior.

I suppose Edmund, he's tougher and more determined. Eustace toughened up a bit but he's weak compared to Edmund!

I am a new member of the forum. I pretty sure that Even when he was rude, Edmund would have won because in the Dawn Treader Lewis makes a point to say that even Lucy could win against Eustace.

When Eustace was first introduced, it was stated that he was not capable of beating even Lucy in a fight, much less Edmund. Although his Narnian experiences doubtless made him as much physically tougher as morally better, I doubt he would have caught up with Edmund in the short career he had.
