I'm definitely going to go see it. One reason will be to see if it's as good as the first one. I hope it is. I hope all the movies, if they make all of them, make a lot of money so that there'll be a chance that all movies will be made. And I hope Andrew Adamson comes back to direct the next five.

Of course we all will go see it. Andrew Adamson better come back and do the next five. Seeing what he did with the first movie was amazing that nobody else could match the movies up to what he has done with them. He is probably one of the best directors out there to work with and have to a movie. What helps even more is that he loves the books with a passion. So he will make them to be the best that they can be, and if someone else would direct the movies, they wouldn't be able to do it right.

I will see it but I heard they are going to make a romance between Caspian and Susan. I really hope they don't, cuz then I may not like it as much as I like LWW.

I'm pretty sure that was part of the April Fool's gag that you are referring to. First of all, it's kind of tough to create a romance between 2 characters who don't meet till the movie is about to end. Second, a romance makes no sense because Aslan tells Susan she can't come back to Narnia...that would make Aslan appear to be a homewrecker. Not to mention that Caspian later falls for Ramandu's daughter in Dawn Treader. They wouldn't do something that absurd...because it'd add too much drama that had nothing to do with the story, and they'd have to add more story to make it work.

As far as the topic of the thread is concerned, did this question seriously need to be asked? Did you really expect ANYONE to say "no, I won't watch it"? That's like asking if you plan to breath tomorrow.

Looks to me we will ALL watch it...maybe we might bump into another member of this forum in the cinema (or sit in same screening) without knowing it. That would be ironic. lol.

Of course I'm going to see it! When The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe came out, my school had a special midnight screening (we have a curfew, so sanctioned late-night events are special); Caspian comes out toward the end of the school year, so I'm hoping that there will be the opportunity to have another screening. I'm also trying to see if I can put together a costume for the occasion.

Oh Yeah, I am definitely going to go see Prince Caspian! I wish that they
would have planned it better though so it could have come out in 2007
instead of May of 2008! But regardless I'll be there on opening day. After
all Prince Caspian is one of my favorite Narnia books.

Yeh, I heard that there is going to be romance between Caspian and Susan too

KyrieEleison
01-07-2007, 05:55 PM
On one hand, for Susan to be told that she could never return to Narnia or the guy she was in love with could be a good basis for her to turn her back on Narnia - it's not canonical, but it could be good for characterization. On the other hand, it makes no sense considering that Susan spends very little time with Caspian in the book - there isn't much in the book to support a romance.

In the end, I'm all for sticking as closely to the source as possible - even the small changes in the first movie didn't change the overall story - so I'm definitely against a Susan/Caspian romance.
