heh heh heh... lol, i lurve you all. i havent been here in forever, yet again. its a cycle i tell you lol. this is a poem i wrote for my grandma, she died a couple years ago. i dunno if i like it all quite yet... so tell me what ya'll think

the love i knew

the love
[what love?]
oh, the love i knew,
recorded in memories of china and little puppet theatre;
they say i have her face,
they say i have her nose,
they say i have her light
and her everescent pose;
but all my shade-pearl eyes can see
is two little figures standin by the stove, shelling suga' peas.
one says to the other,
like lilacs in water,
as only a child would do,
of the love,
[oh, the love i knew].
then a soft reply so aptly spoken
gives language unbroken,
and spartan like tokens
of secrets now locked in the past.
radiant whisps of sugar white hair,
scented by diamonds and cheer,
and a wry, old smile upon her face
beseached your own to appear.
humphrey and co. besotted the crowds
played by her own endowed hands
her own time-kissed, lovely, sweet endowed hands,
branded for the love
[what love?]
oh, the love i knew
recorded in memories of china and little puppet theatre

I see a resemblance to T.S. Elliot in your work. You make great use of metaphors.

I'm sure your Grandmother would be honored. Good work and glad to see you back.
