Well movie wise she had alot of power. she killed Aslan and she had her great wand...it was deadly

See the problem with the White Witch is that she had no love and therefore she did not understand the magic "deeper still." The magic of love. She was blind to that. That's why Aslan could trap her into wasting her time on trying to eliminate him rather than slaughtering the Narnians in the middle of the night. That's why he could appease the deep magic and STILL LIVE.

yes well i suppose that is a good point. i mean some ppl might just have voted for Aslan cuz they like him more then the witch. I of course do like Aslan more....but i voted for wut i really thought.

It's obvious who has more power. Aslan is the big boss, the all powerful creator and king of the universe, while Jadis is merely a witch from another land who somehow takes over Narnia. Jadis had to have her entire army with her to kill Aslan, she had to bind him and muzzle him to kill him, Aslan had to be willing to die for her to kill him. Aslan simply had to leap on her and tear out her throat, he had to simply be there, for him to kill her. You see more of the witches power in the book, but it's an evil kind of power such as eternal winter and turning people to stone. We see Aslan turning people back to life from stone and ending the eternal winter and of course the resurection. This goes to show that whatever the witch wants to do, Aslan can quite simply undo it.

Aslan spoke, sung and breathed things into existance. If he can do that then isn't he the most powerful thing there?

I mean the White witch can only kill, anyone can kill but can you speak things into existance. Well mabye you can speak events into existance. But can you sing a beautiful song and have some beautiful being appear before you?

While the White Witch can do the same as you, kill.

I think Jadis did have quite alot of power. But Aslan was able to stop her and defeat her. Now Aslan rules for eternity!!!!!

i don't know how people are debating this because obviously the queen had power otherwise she wouldn't have kept narnia for 100 years. but aslan never seems to fade out even though hes not always they for a long period of time he has such an impact and ends up saving narnia once again.
The witch only has the power to kill but thats hardly special anybody can do that yet aslan creates new life. She doesn't seem to understand death or love either shes sees it as the end whereas aslan overcame that on the stone table. In the last battle when they all die and come to the real narnia but the witch doesn't understand that aspect. I don't know how people can challenge aslan who created the whole of narnia, the animals and sacrificed his life for edmunds to the witch who only by use of magic kept narnia for 100 years and sacrrificed her peoples and enemys life to protect her life.
