I'll tell you what they said next week because by then I've watched the movie on DVD. Deutschland just means Germany :)

Here's it!! I couldn't hear cleary what they where saying, but something like this:

"Aim reached in 10sec."
"This fire is unbelievable!"
"Quickly!"
"We've missed our aim."
*bombing again, then edmund at window*

I'm going to Germany with my mom this summer. I live in the States, though. I don't speak German, though my Grandparents came from Germany. I do hope to learn someday, though.

Ich spreche Deutsch.

And my brother went to Germany with his German class, but sadly I have never been. Though I've taken a few years of German and starting next fall I'll be continuing my studies in it.

Krissey
05-01-2006, 03:59 PM
so there are people speaking german in here :)

i don't know how come i prefer speaking english. i got a really good teacher as i was in grade 7, and i was always good. jez hab ich mein abi mit englisch als leistungskurs gemacht... yeah, and i can't wait to leave germany in direction to australia, new zealand or canada ;)

i think i don't like german, because i don't like germany at all.... it's pretty hard to explain. it's an inner attitude. maybe it's innate ;)

Queen of the Lone Islands
05-02-2006, 12:22 PM
COOL  I wanna go to the U.S. or England when I do my abi, but it's a long time till then,...so where do u live? And what do u wanna study??

Krissey
05-02-2006, 02:09 PM
wuh^^ so many questions. well okay, i'm living in a cute little town called melsungen, 24km south from kassel in hessen. i've just finished with my written abi, just the presantation and oral exams left. i'd like to study biology, molekular biology or microbiology to get into research if i'm ready with studying and hopefully a doctor, because i'll do my promotion of course... yeah, that's it so far. nice dream isn't it ;)

Queen of the Lone Islands
05-03-2006, 01:07 PM
That dream what you've got is more realistic than mine!!! I wanna to something like animation stuff ( like creating Aslan on the computer ;) ),
study psychology or be a musician  THIS is what I call unrealistic :)

Krissey
05-04-2006, 03:16 PM
well, i do think, if you only try hard enough, you can do everything. but you mustn't wait for your luck to come to you, you have to go and search it.

I grew up in Texas and have lived in Germany with my German husband for the last 10+ years. I will never move back, I love it here, and to me Germany is my home.

I can speak German, but my grammar stinks.

Krissey
05-05-2006, 02:33 PM
yeah, grammar, what's that? :) i don't think it's too bad, if the grammar isn't perfect. don't fear speaking german :)

well, i had an idea, maybe it's not that new...
we, the egrman users, may help the english if they need to have something translated or want to learn a few sentences of german. i'd like helping a lot.

My mother is from Austria, but she married an Australian, so I speak fluent German but live in Australia.

As far as I'm concerned, German is a much nicer language than English. I don't know why you'd want to not speak it! :)

But if you move away from Germany... come to Australia! :D (Not that I've even been to the States or the UK, hehe)

Queen of the Lone Islands
05-10-2006, 08:47 AM
I thought about going to Australia one day,... I know an Australian who lives in Germany :) ( English and Americans aswell,...)

Krissey
05-11-2006, 01:29 PM

Hi, i´m from Germany, too!

Queen of the Lone Islands
05-28-2006, 03:12 PM
Cool!!!

Queen of the Lone Islands
05-28-2006, 04:43 PM

I live in America, but I am learning German for my foreign language corriculim. Here's something: Sorry that it's short, but I only started a few days ago:

Der Mann isst schwartze Brot.

Translation, anyone?

Samwise Gamgee
11-06-2006, 05:56 PM
It means: The man eats schwartze bread.
I know how to read it better than I speak it, I speak very little :p . I love to watch München play futball the best...well be side Manchester United. Umm but my great-granda is from Germany and he came over here..the U.S. and I want to go to German and live there either that or Narni Italy. My lab teacher for Computer speaks very good German and I under stand it 99.7 per cent of the time.

I'm American too, but German is a second language for me. :D I think I have a cousin who lives in Germany though...a Tobin Wotring, though I never heard of him before until I E-mailed a researcher on my Wotring ancestry about it. :/ (And don't ask where the name "Wotring" came from--there's so many variations of it, it's a nightmare xD).

I'm gonna have to disagree with you on the whole English is better than German thing. I'm english and I speak German (in the process of learning it) and I guess its maybe just because its the language that's not my native one but whatever. My aunt has been to germany countless times so that's why I'm taking it in the first place.

I'm on board for the "TAKE OVER THE FORUM" thing!

cool  respect to those people who learn german - I think it's a pretty difficult language (english is ten-times easier)

That's nice to hear to have so many followers of the idea!! If we are enough people someday, we can start a revolution :D :D

I love learning German. At first it sounds quite a (don't mind me saying) harsh language, but as it develops it is a very beautiful sounding language, don't you think? lol :)

Yeah, that's why german isn't one of the romantic languages. It is harsh, but once you hear it spoken out and get used to it it flows together really nicely.

yep, it definitely sounds harsh, especially if you here people speaking it in england. But in germany again it sounds quite alright if everybodys speaking the language. ( Anyways, it's pretty much fun if I go shopping with my dad and everybody turns round and looks at you with a stupid expression on their face , because we're talking english! :D )

german is a hard language to learn last thursday i had to do a mock speaking oral and sofar on a whole for german i'm working at a D.

Queen of the Lone Islands

cool you've been on an exchange - even twice!!
it's totally pathetic at our school: in 10/12 grade you get the chance to go to America/Oregon - thats okay, but only about 15 people are allowed to go!!
and this year 75 people  wanted to go and wrote an application,...I think that doesn't make much sense...
