Chakal the Badger was born in the north country close to the Stone Table. He speaks with a quaint north country dialect and learned to read and write from a faun named Selikos.

His job for some years was tending the grounds about The Stone Table by order of the Crown. He became a member of Caspian X's privy council at the rank of Mage Scribe. As such he keeps the royal library, gives advice on the most auspicious times for various undertakings, and studies the natural world. He would be a bit of a combination in your world between a naturalist and a philosopher.

His most memorable mark on history was in suggesting the name "Dawn Treader" for the King's flagship. It came from a poem he wrote for the Vernal Equinox.

If we were talking about a role played in a movie, I'd be one of the Dawn Treader's crew. That way I'd be on set the whole shoot, which I think would be fascinating. But it would have to be a part where I didn't speak much, or else that no one cared if I had an American accent.

Eustice gets turned into a dragon (becoming on the outside what he was on the inside at the time). It was the best thing that could have happened to him.

Peter, Susan, Edmund, Frank, Digory, Polly, Jill, Fletch, all went through radical changes because of Narnia. Even Uncle Andrew eventually changed for the better.

In seems that only Lucy grew and grew-- rather than a radical change of spiritual "direction."

What would happen to me?

PS: it is important to note that in the end all get what they want, but they may not like it. Example: Jadis' path of domination, violence and destruction came to its ultimate conclusion thanks to Nanria, and Aslan specifically. I would *never* want to be on that path.

Eustice, in his own way, was on a similar path. But Aslan stepped in and gave him a gift-- the gift of seeing himself for who he really was--and an opportunity, an opportunity to change.
