yah! I never had a favorite Pevensie until I saw the movie.
She did a great job....and like you said she did a great job of bringing her character to life.

Anna did an excellent job playing Susan, who is a rather difficult person to portray. Susan is always the sensible, cautious one, always hesitant to embark on an adventure, yet she steps out and does it. Anna did an amazing job portraying this sometimes indecisive personality, and she did an awesome job as her character changed and she became more loving towards Lucy. :rolleyes: Way to go, Anna!!

Anna is really awesome and I had no idea she was on Little Vampire until I saw the movie again last year. She can play a vampire girl really well!

It seems like Anna is the only mature, non-hyperactive one of the Pevensies. Skandar has a sugar problem, William never sits still and is always moving, and Georgie is pretty much hyper all the time! :p
She acts like an adult and I think it's really funny how she teased Skandar about the scene where it was her feet and not Skandar's in the wardrobe. And how she sent him a signed photograph of her in his shorts as a reminder.
She has a really good sense of humor.

Skandar was embarrassed and Anna was teasing him about it she was like, "Skandar gets upset about me doing his stunts for him. He chickened out, so I told him, 'It's okay, Skandar, I'll do the falling over for you. I'm not afraid!'"
That part was hilarious! All the kids in Narnia are so funny!

Well, Susan was the least trusting and faithful. You can sort of see her slowly breaking away from the group. I mean, she was yelling at Peter when he didn't even do anything and when Aslan died she really believed he was dead. She was, like, too logical. They should've made her a little more gentle, you know? :)

Susan was, arguably, the trickiest role of the four. Susan has to journey from her rational and logical self to the faithful queen that she becomes, but at the same time show overtones of her eventual regression and loss of the childlike faith that Aslan values. Peter and Lucy have their flaws and their stumbles, but they stay the course from start to finish. Edmund starts out badly, but after Aslan saves him, he remains a devoted follower throughout his life.

I totally agree with you, she did an amazing job. Susan was always the cautious Doubting Thomas of the group, and Anna did a great job prtraying that uncertainty, while still portraying Susan changing as she goes along. So great job, Anna, form an official Annanite!

I really can't wait to see her act in Prince Caspian because her character will change. As the Chronicles progress, Susan stops believing in Narnia and becomes self-centered, while Edmund is the opposite and become less greedy and more faithful to Narnia. I find that really fascinating that Susan and Edmund's character will change in the opposite direction of what they started out, you know. So it will be interesting to see Anna change as well and see how she portrays the difference in Susan's personality from LWW. That will happen in all of the Pevensies, but most of all in Susan as she strays away from the group (I was mad when I found out that Susan didn't believe anymore). But Aslan will not forget her. :)
And I'm sure Anna can pull it off. She's a brilliant actress and one of the best I've seen!

This is my first post on the website, and i thought i'd start out some where where i know a little bit about. i must say i think anna really is cute, but i have no chance with her, she's a little older then me, but not by much! anyways, it really is amazing how actors can have such personalities on screen, but be such different people in real life. i'm very happy to be posting here! :)

I liked when they did make Susan change a bit though, how Lucy and Susan were having that talk befoer Georgie splashed her and Susan said

and then Lucy goes,

"Until you got boring!"

I felt kinda sad when Susan said,

and Peter goes.

"We don't have a second" or something like that!

And the time when Peter said she was trying to be smart, he got kinda mean to her at times!

Listening to Anna in the commentary, I was impressed at just how intelligent and articulate she seemed, she really played straight person to Georgie and Skandar's goofiness. The companion really painted her to be a very dependable and professional actress. Need someone to help Georgie with a difficult scene (by crying continuously, if necessary)? Or someone to pretend to be Skandar? Call Anna.

Also, there was a chapter chronicling the diary that Anna kept on set, taking us through the shoot. Lots of ups and downs and funny moments (like Philip Streuer, who played Ed's horse, kicking Skandar's butt). Also, lots of interesting facts, like the Humane Society's rules regarding flies. And I think that there were shots of Anna hugging pretty much everybody in New Zealand: Andrew, Will, Georgie, Skandar (I loved the exasperated look on his face), Tilda, Andrew, Dean Wright, Douglas Gresham, and this evil-looking little girl dressed up as a witch (OK, that was probably Georgie again). Proof, I guess, that Anna really was a well-liked person among both cast and crew.

She even bonded enough with her adult co-stars, because when Tilda found out that she was flying back home to England all by herself Tilda offered to change her plane flight so she could keep Anna company because Anna was such a kind girl!

Showbiz senior editor Simon Thompson tells ComingSoon.net that he talked to Anna Popplewell at the premiere of Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest in London earlier this week and she gave a quick update on The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian, in which she reprises her role as Susan Pevensie.

"I am usually the last to know about these things but I know the producers are scouting for locations at the moment," Popplewell said.

"I've been told we should be starting shooting at the beginning of next year. As far as the children go, I think all the old faces will be back. We're all keen to do 'Caspian' anyway."

She also wants to try and get a namecheck for her hometown London 'burb - Finchley - in the film after managing to squeeze it in the first time around.

Anna revealed: "I really want to, I really do. I was so pleased to get it in and was over the moon when it made the final cut."

Disney is targeting a summer 2008 release for the "Narnia" sequel.

Hellew Anna fans! :D I haven't posted with you guys yet so... here I am, posting about Anna. :D

I think she did an amazing job as Susan in TLTWATW... she made a spectacular performance, especially in the more intense scenes with Aslan, though she had that carefree, charismatic style when playing with Lucy in the water. She's stunning as both an actress and a person, and I'm glad she was the one picked to portray Susan. :)

The wait will soon be over for the thousands of budding artists, writers and photographers who entered this year's Peter Pan Awards. On Friday 8 September the winners will be announced from the final shortlist of 18 contenders at a star-studded awards ceremony at London's Waldorf Hotel.

Celebrated authors, actors and TV personalities will present the prizes, and award-winning writer Geraldine McCaughrean will read from her forthcoming official sequel to Peter Pan, 'Peter Pan in Scarlet', published on 5 October 2006. Neil Fox will host the awards, and celebrities will read the finalists' stories and talk about their art and photography.

The competition was open to all children aged 6 to 16 and entries have been judged by a cast of celebrities in three categories: art, writing and photography. Finalists will be invited to the Oscar-style awards ceremony, and for the overall winner this year there is a very special prize – an exclusive trip to Disneyland Resort Paris including a Walt Disney Studios animation experience.

The Peter Pan Awards, which began in 2003, celebrate Great Ormond Street Hospital’s strong literary links with JM Barrie and Charles Dickens, and are the successor to the Write4GOSH Awards, which were set up by GOSHCC in 2002 to celebrate the hospital’s 150th birthday. The original writing competition proved so popular that it grew to accommodate the two additional genres. The quantity and standard of entries has continued to grow every year.

In 2006, The Walt Disney Company will become a key supporter of the awards for the first time, alongside original sponsor the Funday Times, now Funday Times Online.
