the BBC versions were broadcast in 1989 - 1990 so they must have been made a year or so before that

BBC were the first company to broadcast T.V in Britain. So it started roughly before WWII

Everyone's right!! The BBC (British Broadcasting Company) is the main television production company in Britain. There are others such as ITV and BSKYB too.

There are about 7 different BBC channels but the main ones are BBC1 and BBC2. They tend to show programmes made by the BBC, or others that have been bought from other companies/networks.

I just know that BBC has lots of channels. Is BBC National a programming channel? I can catch BBC radio programme here, but the TV broadcast is not.

NO NO NO NO!!!! It's the best!!! It's better than the new film I think because it is more true to the book and the acting is better. Richard Dempsey, Sophie Cook, Jonathan R Scott and Sophie Wilcox play the children better and as they would have been in the time period.

People say that Richard Dempsey's Peter is to smarmy but that's probably how the would have acted in the 1940's

Actually yeah I did see the BBC ones first. I used to watch the episodes on TV. Anyway people complain the effects are bad. It's the 1980's did you expect them to be as good as they are now. As I said in another post I like the people dressed up in costumes as animals better because it makes them seem more like how Aslan would have made them when he changed them. In the 2005 one it just looks like CG animals that talk.

It used to be the 'company'..but then it changed in the 1930's i think..somethig to do with public ownership or something..we have to pay about £125 for our TV you know!
