I hope it is Harry Gregson Williams. He did such an amazing job with the LWW. Plus who better to bring back themes from the first one in the right places to make sure it feels like the same Narnia? And I don't think it will sound as much the same as the Lord of the Rings movies did. I mean think about it... there was so much variety in the first one. Every song fits its part almost perfectly! I have full confidence in him.

I cannot wait for the new soundtrack!!!
While I was teaching Sunday School today, my class was watching part of the Grinch who Stole Christmas (with Jim Carrey) and the music at the end sounded similar to the Narnia music....it was kinda weird.

I hope that Harry Gregson Williams does the PC soundtrack too, and I also think that it will be awesome!!!! Did you know that he also did the music for Shrek and Shrek 2? Funny thing is, I've actually noticed some similarities in the end of Shrek to The Battle in LWW.

I agree with all of you!!!
Harry is AMAZING!!
And I truly hope he does come back to do PC!!
And I hope he keeps the same theme, too, like Shore did with LOTR!!
Harry also does the music for Final Fantasy. Just so you guys know :)

I'm really looking forward to it!! I totally LOVE the LWW soundtrack, and I really hope(and think) the PC soundtrack will be awesome too!! ;)
I think Harry Gregson-Williams did a great job with LWW, so i'm really looking forward to the PC soundtrack. Hopefully we'll get more wonderfully atmospheric songs again, like Evacuating London and The Battle.
I just hope that this time Alanis Morissette comes nowhere near it...

Oh YEAH! If you are going to put singing on a sountrack, you should get people who can SING! Sorry, I'm rather snobbish when it comes to the music I listen too. :o
I completely agree with you on the rest of the soundtrack! We've actually worn ours out! I love the battle!
Please, what do you mean by 'atmospheric'? In the dictionary that word means 'pertaining to the atmosphere'. Does it mean it's awesome?

Yeah, i'm completely the same, I have to admit i'm very picky when it comes to music. But the music that I do listen to, I really get into.
Heh, that's a very good question...when I say a song is atmospheric I mean it has a really strong mood about it that makes me see vivid 'images', an 'atmosphere' so to speak...basically though I do just use the word to say I love a song, cause i'm absolutely awful at putting my feelings about music into words. ;)
In Evacuating London for example the way the song opens with quiet piano and strings but then suddenly transforms halfway through, and the beautiful, haunting vocals start, is something I would describe as 'atmospheric'. Does that make any sense?
A future warning: Don't ask me any questions about music, 'cause I can talk for hours... :D

I've been saying again and again. For the Evacuating london, they should have gotten an awsome child singer. One with a loud and clear voice.

If you are going to sing a song, people should be able to understand you!

I think I might have heard "One day....", but am not sure. (in Evac. London)

that's what i thought i heard too. "one day, for love" or something. but she just keeps 'rasping' (dont know how else to put it) off.

One day for love... yeah I think I heard that to. I was just listening to it about an hour ago. There wouldn't have been raspyness problems if they would have had a great kid do it. And it would have fit the scene since it was children evactuating London.
I actually like the vocals in Evacuating London...you may not be able to make out what she's singing but the eerie quality of the vocals really adds to the mood of the song, which might not be quite as strong if the singing was more clear...

I agree! I would like to know, but the lack of knowing adds to the mystery-the sense of "something's going to happen--something strange, yet wonderful."
Also, in various other LWW songs, there is a very subtle "Gloria...", etc.
Especially in the Battle and Beginn. of Adventure. I think it is for Aslan and Narnia, and is exquisitely subtle and soft! I love it! Sends shivers through my body! :)

I think it was Lisbeth Scott who sang it, wasn't it? Well, I loved the song!!
And I think these were the words:
One prayer, For love
(some sort of moan)
One prayer, for Love
so tender
(more moans, along the lines of "mmm-yeah")
Tender....
(oooooooooooohhhhhhhhhhhh----)
"mmm-yeah"
One day, For Love
So tender
"mmm-yeah"
"mmm-yeah"
"mmm-yeah"
Tender.....
yeah, you can tell who obsesses over the magnificence of the Narnia Soundtrack!!

one breath... hmm... they really need a different singer then. I think she took it a little too far with the breath...iness... while singing.

The IMDB has him down for it, so I expect he is.
It would be a pitty if he wasn't.
I think it will be great. I love the LWW soundtrack. I've actually got it playing right now.
