Yeah, I like anime and manga.
My favourite manga is Dragonball/Dragonball Z by Akira Toriyama. The TV show is always getting slagged off for being too "OTT" but the manga (comic)is so much better.

I'm trying to learn Japanese. I don't know a whole lot yet, but I'm working on it! It seems like a hard language to learn, but maybe that's just me. u.u;
I'm also an anime/manga fan. I listen to a lot of Japanese music as well.

I can read hiragana near-perfectly and most katakana, and I know nearly 100 kanji. =P I don't take formal lessons but I do converse with Japanese people often.
Japanese is not an especially difficult language, I find - not nearly as hard as, say, various dialects of Chinese (Mandarin especially). It has the same sentence structure and grammar as Korean...
My name means "wings" in Japanese, actually. n.n
J-pop is indeed a good type of music. I tend to listen to it fairly often... although I like BoA's music too, and she's not exactly Japanese, so maybe it's just Asian music. Who knows?

ohayou! hajimema****e, tsubasa desu, yoroshiku.
Kore wa wakatta.
I understand this, it says:
"Morning! Hello, I'm Tsubasa, nice to meet you."
I can read hiragana and katakana pretty well, but my Kanji skills are very limited.
I'm glad that other people have an interest in the language as much as me!
Ureshii!

Yeah, that's basically what I said (though I think yoroshiku means "please take care of me" - not sure if I'd want that though =P). It's so great to meet other people with an interest in this language. n.n

You're right it does, but doesn't it sound weird directly translated into English? So even though it basically means "please take care of me", or "Be nice", I usually translate it as "Nice to meet you".
Like the word "Douzo". It means roughly "Please", and is often used with "Yoroshiku". I.e. "Douzo yoroshiku": "please take care of me".
But it can also mean "Here you go", "Please accept this" depending upon the circumstances.
And "Hajimema****e" is only used on the first meeting, it means "How do you do" roughly, and the "Hajime" part means "Start", Beginning" and so you could argue that it means "First meeting".

I thought hajimema****e meant "it's nice to meet you for the first time" or something like that. *shrugs* Japanese is so different from English it's hard to translate. You really have to know the phrases in their original language and the context they're used in...
*Sigh* I'm supposed to be a translator for scanned manga but I'm not confident about my abilities... though that'd be why I'm speaking like this, I guess. Have to see it from a new point of view!
(And all the different phrases you can add onegaishimasu to...XD)

may-ooh-neh-zoo.
Nani? Nihongo ja nai.
By the way, Japanese is based around short or stretched syllables.
"may-ooh-neh-zoo" would be spelt "mei-oo-nee-zuu"

If i'm not mistaken, Boa is Korean. Japanese has lots of International singers such as Ayumi Hamasaki, Utada Hikaru, Chihiro Onitsuka, Kyoko Fukada, etc. Well, if u like Japanese animation (anime) you'll love most of the songs like the ones in Naruto, Bleach, Evangelion etc. Asian Kung Fu Generation is among the best out there.
Oh yeah, if u happen to like K-Pop also (Korean music) u can go to kpopkingdom.com They have a forum where they talk lots about the Korean entertainment industries.

Yeah, Inu is Dog in Japanese. That's why there's a Japanese animation entitled Inuyasha aka Dog Demon or something.

I'm in Nagoya. Just for two years, and now....I'm already in Malaysia. Going home in 13 April. Its good to going back home and meet all my friends here...I miss them so muchhh!! :) But I miss Japan actually, the star there....the winter, yuki..original tempura, sushi, sashimi, udon, wasabe...and I'm very miss my home there. My house is in Iwakura City, near the Gojo river, thats is the famous place in Nagoya especially when sakura is all going out. It is a very beautiful place you know...this place is near Nagoya, just in 30 minutes by car. but if you go by train, it takes only 15 minutes.
here is the link for the pics in Gojo river, after the sakura celebration last year...it is very beautiful...you must see it! ;)
