Quest of the Crystals

Okay, I got this idea off of another forum and thought it was cool. It’s much like old fashioned D&D.

OK, you’ll have a chance to pick
:your gender
:your race (human, elf, dwarf, {choose animal}, centaur, etc.) if u have an idea, PM it to me
:your class (warrior, mage, healer, etc.) if u have an idea, PM it to me.
:your name (make one up if u want)
You’re all on the same side. Along the way, I’m sure there’ll be conflicts and maybe even betrayal :p or maybe not.

Here’s some background story…the four crystals of Klijmar, the crystals of light, have been stolen from the Citadel of Rowindubain. The Gatekeeper, Aloyius, was wounded in the struggle when the Lord Bia and his men attacked the Citadel and made off with the crystals.
You are all from the town of Yenmura, where a committee decided that they had to send some people to check out the Citadel. All of you volunteered. But what starts as a routine check-out will reveal something FAR more sinister…

HOW TO PLAY: its quite simple. I’ll post something, like, “There is a large oak door in front of you.” From there, you can push it open, knock it down, attack it, or even ignore it. U can also discuss your next moves with other players if you think your situation dire.

So, just post up what gender, race, and class u wanna be, and your character’s name. we can’t accept players after the game starts, unfortunately, as that’d be kinda difficult. But, if the starting players journey to different towns and cities, then you’ll have a chance to recruit yourself. :)so, let us begin.

Amatheyust: attack-120/ defense-390 (she's a dragon, remember?)/ speed-40

Amber: attack-50/ defense-90/ speed-80 (Oakheart=3 hit with anything, down)

Anath: attack-65 (blade more effective against fire, 30)/ defense-100, but 150 if he uses flute in battle/ speed- 68

Jade: attack-45 (see magic spells for her below) / defense-80 (see magic spells below)/ speed-100


MAGIC SPELLS FOR ALL SPELLCASTERS

Fire: casts flames at the enemy, 10 damage, unless water enemy, then it is useless
Water: casts water at the enemy, nothing unless it is a fire enemy. if it is a fire enemy, 25 damage
Light: u can only use this once a battle. and u can't use it again until u come to another town. 300 damage.
Earth: causes an earthquake, 25 damage
Shield: casts a shield around the caster for 3 hits

You gain more spells as u go...

u can use 5 spells in 1 battle

ah yes...each of you have some food and other supplies in your packs. While not in a battle, u can use magic as much as u want, so u dont need tinderboxs; Jade can use her fire spell. if you run out of food, (u eat after each battle) then u have to restock in towns. currently, the group has 10 food altogether, and each of u have 80 gold.

The course map has a map of different things you can do for extra credit, say.... getting an item, or helping a village.

I open the map and Oakheart wags his tail.

COURSE MAP: 1: Hinder, yonder, over vale, find a secret, funny tale. Written on parchment, cracked and old, is a riddle, sadly told. The riddle is, as riddles are, hard to solve and from afar.

Find this parchment and give it to an old man named Eolistzu.
In a town called Ruthewil. Ruthewil is only a few miles from where u r, down the dirt road in the fields.

The question is, r u willing to do the errand?

Suddenly, a crossbow bolt whirs past Amatheyust's head, barely missing her. There is a dragon hunter caravan down below, and they mean to kill the Amatheyust.

I pick up speed as high as 100 miles per hour as we fly down a slope we are RUNNING AWAY and we soon leave them behind

The dragon caravan chase after you, and a grappling hook hits Amatheyust's wing. There is no choice but to START BATTLE.
(in battles, Amber climbs off Amatheyust and uses her bow to fight. Amatheyust uses claw and fire attacks.)

DRAGON CARAVAN: 6 people, 1 leader, and 2 huge crossbow

People-attack,50-defense,70-speed,66

Leader-attack,90-defense,110-speed,95

Huge Crossbows-attack,170-defense,240-speed,50

The people attack with their crossbows, doing 10 damage each. (50 is MAXIMUM)
Amber's defense is lowered to 60, while Amatheyust's is lowered to 360.

Leader Dragon Hunter throws a spear into Amatheyust's face. A glancing blow, but enough to do 70 damage. Amatheyust's defense=310.

Amatheyust swings her tail around slamming it into the back of the leader.

leader is knocked to the ground, now has 70 defense.

the arrows embed themselves in the torso of one Hunter, and he goes down. He is eliminated. There is the Leader, two Huge Crossbows and 5 Hunters left.

The Huge Crossbows fire, and they hit Amatheyust. 140 damage.

The leader moves toward Amber, drawing a scmitar.

Amatheyust draws one big breath and fires engulfing all except Amber into a ring of fire of 1,000 degrees holding it there for 4 mimn.

AMATHEYUST HAS LEARNED "THE RING"

'the ring' is an attack that can be used by dragons. All five people are burned to a crisp, one Crossbow breaks down. The Leader suffers 50 damage (he's behind the other Crossbow and is shielded.) he has 20 defense. the surviving Crssbow suffers 140 damage, now it has 40 defense.

Amatheyust, however, also is weakened horribly. She cannnot move, fly, or fight.

AMBER HAS LEARNED IO'S WRATH.

Io's Wrath lets archers fire off three arrows at a time, as well as their attack is raised by 30.

Oakheart is panting heavily, his sides heaving and launches himself at the leader teeth beared and claws extended.

"AMBER!!! Go and find a warlock, i know one in the next village!! His name is Quinn. Leave the rest of the dragon hunters to me." Panting Amatheyust's head falls in between her claws.

"No, how could I leave you as you are too weak to even move!?" I cry as the great dragon lays on the ground, her eyes closed in exaustion.
"I'll then leave oakheart with you," i concluded.
The wolf looks at me with great consern, "If that is your wish, i shall oblige."

The Leader goes down as two arrows (one missed) went through his head, and Oakheart mauled him.

The remaining Crossbow now stops functioning, now that there are no more people.

END BATTLE: winners-Amber & Amatheyust.

Jugg's Mercy is a spell that Amber can use to heal herself or her companions by 20.

OOC: I know that OOC is supposed to be put to PM's, but Narnia Rocks, being "bossy" is Fantasy Fan's job. As the DM (Dungeon Master), he has pretty much full reign over the game. The stickied thread in this forum, "The Chronicles of Narnia DnD RPG: Hunt for the Red Stag", pretty much lists stuff about DnD. So yeah...

BIC: (FF, I hope you don't mind that I went from a beginning-I just like to get in detail, that's all.) Anath was the child of the kelpie at the bottom of Lake Yenmura, from whom the small village had been named. Though not directly from Yenmura, Anath's mortal mother had made the mistake of saddling on the kelpie and being dragged under the lake, where she was forced to marry him. From birth, Anath's parents had been very protective of him. His mother would take him to visit the village of her birth from time to time, but other than that, he spent his time at the bottom of the lake.

When the jewels were stolen, Anath wanted to prove himself to his parents, tired of their overprotective personalities and never letting him do what he wanted. It was after a long arguement that they finally consented. Anath's father gave him a sword that had been in the family for generations, and a flute. The human-kelpie cross was quite the skilled musician, though he didn't brag about it. With his parents' blessing, Anath left the lake and there he met the others--the dragon with her rider, a witch, another woman, and a dog.

After reaching the border, Anath had picked up a strange map. "What could this possibly be?" He read it and gasped. "A map of Klijmar!" "How peculiar!" But when his pale face searched for those others, he had no idea where they'd gone off to. Anath shrugged and put the map in his tunic pocket.

MOVE: Nay, I think I'll stick with myself.

Okay, I got this idea off of another forum and thought it was cool. It’s much like old fashioned D&D.

OK, you’ll have a chance to pick
:your gender
:your race (human, elf, dwarf, {choose animal}, centaur, etc.) if u have an idea, PM it to me
:your class (warrior, mage, healer, etc.) if u have an idea, PM it to me.
:your name (make one up if u want)
You’re all on the same side. Along the way, I’m sure there’ll be conflicts and maybe even betrayal :p or maybe not.

Here’s some background story…the four crystals of Klijmar, the crystals of light, have been stolen from the Citadel of Rowindubain. The Gatekeeper, Aloyius, was wounded in the struggle when the Lord Bia and his men attacked the Citadel and made off with the crystals.
You are all from the town of Yenmura, where a committee decided that they had to send some people to check out the Citadel. All of you volunteered. But what starts as a routine check-out will reveal something FAR more sinister…

HOW TO PLAY: its quite simple. I’ll post something, like, “There is a large oak door in front of you.” From there, you can push it open, knock it down, attack it, or even ignore it. U can also discuss your next moves with other players if you think your situation dire.

So, just post up what gender, race, and class u wanna be, and your character’s name. we can’t accept players after the game starts, unfortunately, as that’d be kinda difficult. But, if the starting players journey to different towns and cities, then you’ll have a chance to recruit yourself. :)so, let us begin.
