My friends and I are planning a (surprise) Narnia themed birthday party for one of my other friends next week.
So far, we've got everyone assigned a character (I've ended up a Susan, and the birthday girl is the White Witch), the hall of the house is going to be filled with fake christmas trees and a lamp post, and we're setting up a white witch's palace in the living room. We're then going to sit down and watch all of the BBC versions of the books!
Anyway, my point was, has anyone done anything like this before? If so (or even if not!), do you have any ideas to share?
Thanks!

Well, no, I think there's one person that does - but we got some anyway! And deliberately bought one in a pretty box! Although it's not a square one... And marmalade roll, of course!

That sounds SO fun! I wish I could do something like that with my friends, but unfortunately, none of my friends like Narnia except one. :(

Maybe if you could figure out some way to make the stone table? Costumes would be really cool, if anyone has the time... wasn't narnian garb described as your best clothes were the most comfortable? I don't know, I think anything you can think of that's Middle Earth, yet more alive. Maybe shields and heraldic devices of the Lion. Or temporarily take out a picture in another frame you have and put a picture of the dawn trader you might find online. Wait, you said the White Witch so I'm assuming this is only LLW, I guess ignore the Dawn Trader thing. I would get all of the faux florals from your friends' houses and set them up in contrast to the trees and snow (spring coming again).
hope this is a tad helpful

Well, if I'm honest there are only three of us that really like the Narnia books - and one of them is the birthday girl! But I think we've managed to get everyone else really enthused!
As for costumes, we decided to allocate random characters, and not just from LWW - my (very tall) friend is being Puddleglum, whilst the host is being Mr Tumnus!
Anyway, it's tonight! Yay! If I get any good pictures, I may put them up for you to have a look!
