I just want to say I think lewis duz a great job with calormen. I think it is really cool the way he talks about it, that it is bigger than narnia and Archenland, and that the culture is so cool.

It's certainly very atmospheric. Its like visiting a beautiful, rich, Arab nation.

Yea, I really cant wait to see how its interpreted on the big screen!
EDIT: I thought about it, for like a second...and i concluded that its liek the olde Turkey...with Sultans and Turkish Baths...maids......wives... :D Lovely. I love it.

It does sound pretty amazing..not just the landscape and the people. The details Lewis goes into about the architecture, the clothing and the general atmosphere, you can almost smell the spices in the air and feel the sand under your feet.
Something I would be interested in..if anyone has more time than I too get down to some serious fanfictioning, would be to know a little more about the legends of Calromen and their God (s)..like Thingy..Lady of Night, who Aravis makes and offering too etc..any takers?

Do you mean almost like an RPG (like Aslan's How more specifically?) That would be interesting.

No she means like Fanfiction....write ur own story about it...like Rosymole said, make a book or story about Calormen, like a history of it, or like its legends, laws, etc..

Hmm...not so sure if I am apt to agree that Calormene is a wonderful place, but it certainly made for a good landscape and story in HHB. After all, we got to meet Shasta, and we got to meet Aravis (not to mention Bree and Huin); and it was thanks to these heroes that Archenland was able to defend itself against the horribly ridiculous Rabadash.
Other than this, the culture is not too pleasant, and the people are rather barbarian, and oh how I despise them in LB.

Oh, yes, I have to agree with that, but Calormen is still interesting in my opinion.
EDIT: Well, everything in any Narnian book is interesting!

If someone gave me a choice of whether I could live in Calormen or Narnia I'd laught at them for even having Calormen as an option, and then say Narnia. Calormen is more interesting than Narnia because of the mystery surrounding it-if the books were called The Chronicles Of Calormen, then we'd all desperatley want to find out more about Narnia, and their mysterious god Aslan. I'm mainly interested in Tash, and I think someone should defo make a fanfic about it. And Chakal, couldn't you put a Calormen section on your site? (you may already have one, I only briefly looked. It might not even be your site, I'm not too sure.)
THAHB is known as book 3 because that's what The People think it should be read as, but you should always read em in the order they were published. The magicians nephew will answer all the questions you have, as was intended. You shouldn't know the answers before you know the questions.
