Gohn moved quickley and silently, keeping his slender body close to the ground. He darted through the trees, after a rabbit.

*Sunset had troted through the forest in search of friends of hers and some food to take back to her famliy she was carrying a bow and arrows for hunting of non talking animals for her famliy ate meat along with plants and berries and fruit and such*

[Aslan's Son]

It was a cloudy morning that day in Narnia, one that made the sun not able to shine its glorious rays. All around was greyness, droll and nothing short of boring. However, a youth of purest innocence skipped along the top of the water, able to traverse its waters because of his blood. Aras, as he was called, remembered his father speak of Narnia's creation by the great lord Aslan, the tale still lingering fresh in Aras's mind.

He still found amazing that the creation had been so glorious, save the old wench that tried to ruin it. "Who did Father say she was? Ummm...Jadis or something like that?" he thought to himself. Whatever the name was, he shrugged it off and stopped skipping, keeping to a brisk pace. Aras had promised to meet a friend, Irik the hare, at a small pool. They'd planned to catch fish at the Fords of Beruna-however, Lady Iria, Aras's mortal mother, had asked they be back before nightfall. The half-mortal had to keep a promise, especially to his parents.

He found a rock to sit on for a quick rest. Even if he was half-god, he was still half-mortal, and he tended to show this side more often than that of his father. Aras kicked his small feet in the water, scaring away a couple of fish. He sighed and wiped his pure-black hair out of his face and looked at the dreary sky. "I wish today was more enjoyable." he said softly.

*Sunset seen a non talking deer and raised her bow and arrow and aimed it at the deer for she promised to bring her famliy a big meal of meat to go with the fruits and Veggies they already had**so she aimed her bow and arrow again and pulled the string and the arrow flew and hit the deer and it feel to the ground lifeless she put her bow and arrows back in its holder and walked over to the deer and picked it up and put it on her horse back and walked back toward her home*

it was a buetiful sunny day in narnia, when Angela a buetiful border collie decided to take a walk and explore the buetiful land of narnia as she walked she admired all the buetiful scenery of Narnia and remembered her adopted family of kind wolves telling her story's of the Great Lord of all of Narnia the Great lion Aslan, "I wonder whats he's really like.." she spoke to herself as she trotted down a ragh path of dirt in the woods.

Just then two small figures dashed past her, scampered through her horses legs one jumped on top of the other, one squealed then they both stopped.
Sunset saw it was a fox, that had just caught a rabbit.The fox gave her a lob sided grin, and pulled the dead rabbit (wich was as big as him) out from between the horses legs.
"Hello" he panted

Angela was just about to turn back when she noticed a fox was walking toward the river were she had stopped and tooken a drink. "hello there" she said shyly walking up to the fox and who she guessed was the foxes huge friend.

"errr....hello..." said Gohn, dragging his rabbit a bit farther away and then sitting up. "Who are you?"

"Good," said Gohn "Now we can begin. Do you know anything about the Nevil? I think we should hunt it up, and have a look at it. I've never seen a Nevil before, and if we catch it, we'll be famous!"

Aras finished kicking his legs in the water for a bit. "Hmmm...Irik shouldn't show up for some time yet." "Perhaps a bit of exploring will do me some good." He stood up and decided to walk along the riverside-the water bored him. His feet sunk somewhat in moist earth, a result of the previous night's rains. The mud felt good between his toes, strange enough.

As the demigod continued, he came upon a fox and centaur, talking about going north. Dekarus's tales flooded back to the lad's mind as he spoke. "Good day, dear animals!" "How are you all this fine day?" he said beaming.

The dryad, Vanya, was watching a fox, centaur, dog, and a river demi-god talk about going North to find the Nevil. The young dryad was not familiar with this Nevil so she thought she would join them and find out what this was about. And suddenly instead of a tree standing there, there was a beautiful young girl with small pink flowers intertwined in her long wavy brown hair. Vanya smoothed her light green dress and joined the party. "Forgive me for interrupting," she said with a polite smile,"but I could not help but overhear you talking about looking for something called a Nevil in the North. I would like to join you, if that is alright. By the way my name is Vanya."

That Jadis character (he finally remembered her name) was supposedly up there, banished by Aslan as long as the sacred tree was still there. And besides that, it was cold. But Aanas didn't care. He could make up some excuse to Irik as to why he didn't show up for their day of catching trout at the Fords.

"If we are to go on such an excursion, we must be sure to pack well." "It's very cold up there, and we must be careful as well." "Father said there's a creature up there called Jadis or something of the like, and she's quite dangerous." He nodded once or twice and was about to add something more when a fair maiden of the forest approached them. "It would be most splendid if you came to join our little expedition, Vanya!" "I'm Aanas." he said, sticking his hand out to greet her.

Then they began talking of the White Witch Jadis. "Oh yes," she said with a shake of her head,"My father used to tell me stories of her and her evil ways. But we will not let her ruin our quest. I've never been on a real adventure before."

It was Eagus (an eagle) who had waited on the tree next to the dogwood dryad Vanya. He called: "Hey aren't you forgetting me, or are you afraid I capture Jadis befor you? That would not be very sportive. Sorry for hearing what you were talking about, may I join the adventure? My name is Eagus!"

Angela looked up at Eagus, "ahh...sure!" she yelled to him.

His black hair flowed behind him like seaweed does in the ocean's current, his watery-blue eyes focused on the direction they were going. As suddenly as the group had taken off, another adventurer appeared, an eagle.

The debate of what to call the creature did nothing to lighten the adventurer's spirit-it was more along the lines of annoying. Aanas spoke out as they ran. "I should think if the poor creature wants to be called Eagus, so let him. It's only a nickname, after all." But the ground began to shake and everyone had fallen to the ground. Aanas couldn't walk to the river that ran beside them, so he crawled on his belly to it and fell in its waters. The demigod stood on top of the water and called out to his friends. Vanya clapped her hands excitedly. "I am so happy to finally be going on a real journey!" she squealed with delight. "Let us be off at once I don't think I can wait another minute!" Then suddenly she heard the sound of wings above them. She looked up and recognized Edward, the eagle who had perched in the tree next to her dogwood. "Hello Edward!" she called, "Do join our quest. It will be very exciting." After Edward joined the group they began their journey to the North. Suddenly there was a clap of thunder that shook the ground. Vanya stumbled trying to regain her balance but failed and landed on her back on the ground with a thud. "Ow," she said through gritted teeth as she pushed herself into a sitting position. She added with a frown, "Looks like we may have a storm."

Vanya clapped her hands excitedly. "I am so happy to finally be going on a real journey!" she squealed with delight. "Let us be off at once I don't think I can wait another minute!" Then suddenly she heard the sound of wings above them. She looked up and recognized Edward, the eagle who had perched in the tree next to her dogwood. "Hello Edward!" she called, "Do join our quest. It will be very exciting." After Edward joined the group they began their journey to the North. Suddenly there was a clap of thunder that shook the ground. Vanya stumbled trying to regain her balance but failed and landed on her back on the ground with a thud. "Ow," she said through gritted teeth as she pushed herself into a sitting position. She added with a frown, "Looks like we may have a storm."
*Sunset walked to Vanya and helped her up and spoke*"this is the witch's doing I bet its a snow storm"

Suddenly the came noices from the camp. Sunset and Angela raced back as fast as the could, to see a hudge wolf fighting the others. Eagus was flighing at it's eyes, Gohn darted this way and that beneth it's feet biting, whenever he could. the river god was doing his best with a log.

Aanas had been skinning the fish when a strange noise rustled in the trees. He put the knife down and stared into the darkness of them. It was without warning when the wolf leaped from the forest and began to attack the group. It managed to bite Aanas in the arm, leaving blood dripping on the ground. "Foul demon! By Aslan's mane, you shall pay for that!" Even with his severe wound, the half-human boy picked up a log and had managed to make a strike or two before the creature was killed by Sunset. The wolf's warning was frightening, but one not enough to make Aanas want to turn back and go home to the river.

He ripped a piece of the end of his toga and made a hasty bandanging-it would hold for the time being, even though the bandage turned red within a few moments. Suddenly, another wolf had made its way past the group. So they'd all set off after the bloody beast, only to lose track of it. Aanas sighed deeply. "Blasted wolves." He shook his head, but was spooked by another noise. He'd heard Eagus mention it was a giant, and Gohn mention it was fine, which relieved Aanas's fears. But there was still a foul stench in the air, not 'foul' as in smelly, by 'foul' as in something evil.

Eagus flew to the giant and tried to pick in its eyes. But the giant blew him away with his breath. He tried to fly further against the wind (of the breath from the giant). But the giant let his breath suddenly become much stronger. Eagus became poisoned a bit by the smell of the breath of the giant. He in the end made a large splash falling in the water.
He swam to the side of the water and staid lying some hours at the waterside exhausted.

Eagus thought lying at the waterside powerless now: "It might have been a self-defence of the giant's side, but it's possible too the giant is evil."
And: "So it might be that I get my powers back in just a pair of hours, or that the poison of the giant's breath is very permanent."

Then he cried: "Can anyone help me please? I can't move my wings and my paws and it's very cold."

He shivered.

*Sunset heard Eagus's cries she went to him and pulled a healing potion from a holder on her side and tucked her horse legs under her body and pulled the eagle toward her gently and open the bottle and poured some on the eagle healing it**she looked at the demigod and spoke*"come here so I can heal your wound"

Vanya had been by herself gathering firewood when sheheard noises from the camp. She hurried back to the others and saw that a wolf was attacking. Quickly she dropped her wood and bent down to pull her dagger out of a small hand made holster around her ankle. She managed to get a few quick stabs in before Sunset mad the final blow. "I do not think we should turn back," she said to the others of the wolf's warning,"She is trying to scare us, but we won't let it work." Suddenly another wolf was seen running in the distance. Vanya picked up her bow from a rock where she had laid it and notched an arrow. before she had time to shoot the wolf was already out of range. She kept her bow ready in the case of another intruder. Then a giant approached. "Do not worry," she told the others,"I am sure he cannot be evil... or at least I don't think so." she said the last phrase with a bit of doubt.

He figured that the eagle wouldn't be as successful as he had hoped, as the giant was about four or five times bigger than Eagus. When Eagus fell in the water, Aanas's eyes went wide. Was the eagle going to drown from his damaged appendages? The demigod was preparing to dive in and rescue him when he'd managed to crawl to the riverside. Aanas sighed with a bit of relief in his voice. Eagus was alright for the time being, even though he'd been hurt severely.

It was odd when Sunset had a healing potion with her-the boy didn't know anyone himself who had one in their posession. He watched as Sunset poured it Eagus's wounds, healing him fast, but steady. When asked if she could heal his cut, he nodded and strode to where she was. Removing the bandage was quite painful, and it caused searing pain to run through Aanas's body. He cringed as he waited.

Then he said: "there is food already isn't it, gathering wood would work very badly with my mouth, but might it be a service to you if I try to find any recourses for Potions, Weapons or other things that may help us very much on our quest?"

Eagus said: "Sorry but would that house be very mobile, i mean we are traveling, tents might be of more use. Oh, sure I can help gathering fish, but why do you say that with a bit of sarcasm, do you really want me to do that, or do you mean the diving accident?"

So he (happily to be able to do something) quickly dived into the water and gathered enough fish for a whole family (or at least much fish). After that he flew away and came back with a very nice rabbit.

He sat and kept skinning fish. Weaving rushes, though not hard for him, did take time--just to make sure he didn't accidentally put holes in any places.

Angela then looked around seeing that most everyone who couldn't help with the camp anymore had layed down and were falling alseep, she first looked to Eagus with a gentle smile, "well seeya in the morning" with that said she walked over to were some bedding area was and layed down on it, she then rested her head on her paws and tried to fall alseep although nomatter how hard she tried she quickly found that she was having a hard time doing so as other thoughts were now consuming her mind making it hard for her to fall asleep.

Eagus slept well that night. The next morning he discovered strange footprints in the dust. For some reason Aanas had vanished.

He thought: don't worry he'll be fishing I think or he followed the owner of the footprints.

Aanas had eaten his fish cooked (as he was half-human, he still had to eat human-type foods) on the open fire. It was delicious, and with some berries ffrom the forest and boiled watercress, it made a scrumptuous meal. The demigod fell asleep not long after on the mat woven of rushes he'd spent an hour or two doing after skinning and de-boning the fish. His black hair laid on the floor like it would if he'd been lying in water. About an hour before the sun would rise, Aanas got up before everyone else did. He'd decided he wanted a bath, since he thought he smelled like animal droppings.

The boy ran down to the river and laid his extra toga on a branch and removed his own, dropping it on the riverside. Then he dove in and began to swim underneath and what not. Splashing noises could be heard from the river, and anyone who wanted to see where the footsteps led would find Aanas in the river.

Seeing that she had nothing else to do, Vanya spread her blanket in front of the fire. Then she laid down and closed her eyes. After only a few minutes she was asleep.

He did fly to the north to make the fact he was flyng a bit usefull. He looked if there would be any obstacles on their way when they would travel further.

He saw a giant sleeping just in front of them, but he didn't thought it would be worth to talk about it. The giant will look out to be a good one, and I will look stupid again he thought. In the end he saw with his very sharp eyes somewher about a days travel on foot in the mountains a very comfortable looking hunter's hut. There was no-one in there. He got in, slept a bit (It wouldn't be of any use for his friends if he would return to tell them that at a day-travels distance there was a very comfortable hunter's hut with thick blankets, a fireplace and without wind.) and returned before his friends left last night's camp. He told them about the hut and said: "It's in the north we could be there in a day if we leave now."

He got in the curtains were still moving. "By aslan's manes, don't try to make us afraid, If you are the owner of the hut let see yourself."

He waited a while and then he said: "See? Nothinng terrible is there, maybe the door was a little bit open already from the guest who was here before. We couldn't see that the door was a little bit open, but then the wind took the door and opened it. But just when the door was open the wind closed it. When we opened the door the wind russled the curtains and the wind promoted the fire too."

When everyone but Aanas staid doing nothing he said: "Don't you understand? Even if there are ghosts in the hut they don't even dare to let see themselves. And if it wasn't the wind aren't dryads and nayads able to be invissible if they leave the water or their tree?"

Then he put away his fears and went into the hut. Deep in his hart he thought however: what if there are ghosts?

Then he got an idea and he said: "By Aslan's Name don't hide and be invisible if you are good and get out if you are bad."

Deep, very deep in his heart he still was a little afraid, but he felt a kind of rest getting over him. He felt he had done the good thing, but when he slowly falled asleep he thought is there a kind of enchanted magic here then? Then maybe the feeling of doing good was an ilusion, but even if it was then his friends had a warning it wasn't really ok there, but how would they know if he was just sleeping there was nothing bad about... ... ...

Suddenly the companions heard a voice. It seemed to come from everywere and nowhere. It was the voice of a woman, it was spoken lightly but they could tell the speaker was of great strength.
"Why do you come?" Asked the voice, "No more are you under the protection of the tree. You have entered my domain."

Eagus was flying now. Then he saw an ugly lady, who was beautiful too in a strange way. She was very pale and very large. She was wearing a gold crown and she was wearing a white mantle too. For some reason he knew the white ugly beautiful lady was the nevil. He thought I'm save in the sky, but then the lady cried: "You slave on the ground for me."

Now he was getting verry frightened, no matter how hard he tried to stay high above the lady he was flying more and more next to the ground. There was a strange power pulling him to the ground.
In the end he stood before the lady. The lady took the mirror and she held it before Eagus. He saw himself, but his wings looked more like little stumps then like wings. However he was reliefed to see that the stumps where growing again. They became wings again and very large wings too, but there was something wrong about them. His brown wings weren't brown, they were as black and dark as the darkness in the deepest cave or dungeon.

large legs of a spider. But he himself was still in the body.

"Not for long" said the Lady who looked out to be aware of his thoughts, and he slowly lost all the control of his body, the only thing he saw before the darkness was a white kind of cloud leaving his body. Then he just felt a hand pulling him to another place.

He cried in horror, he was lying in a dark room. He was reliefed that the dream was over, but was the dream really gone?

He tried to walk something but he remarked in horror that he didn't feel his feet touching the ground. Hi didn't feel anything. There was only the know of being here. Was he ill.

Then a thought of horror came over him, what if the dream was partly real, what if his body was really stolen from him, what if he was just a cloud being aware of being there dwelling around not seeing the beauty of nature, what if he wouldn't feel anything for ever, what if he wouldn't see anything for ever, what if he wouldn't be able to communicate for ever, what if his crie of horror wasn't a crie, but just the being aware of being very frightened, what if by his fault the boby's of his friends were stolen now too???

He cried in horror again and he staid crying in horror for a long time. But he didn't know if he was really crying in horror or if it was just the awareness of being very frightened.

Then after a few hours, at least it seemed like a few hours there was a very big light. That was a great relief. He saw a gold lion, it said: "Don't be afraid sleep and wait until you will be saved out of this nightmare."

Then there wasn't anything anymore for what seemed to be a long time. He 'slept' very deep and wasn't afraid anymore... ... ...

"Wh...what sort of deception is this?" the boy said, his gaze wandering from corner to corner of the room. Aanas found it most odd when his vision began to blur. But he knew who was doing it. "Jadis..." said he in a slurred tone, falling to the ground into complete darkness. In his mind, he was praying to Aslan. "Great Aslan, please help us..."
