Drakan: Forces of the Mother Dragon

An RPG based on the Game Drakan and the acnients gates

600 years ago, during the Golden Age in the World of Drakan, humans and dragons were allies and the world flourished. The symbol of this alliance was the Order of the Flame. Within the order, honored human knights and dragons of the Elder Breed who had joined their souls in a pact called the bond. Dragon and rider soared over every realm of Drakan insuring the peace and helping those in need. While under the guardianship of the Order, the world knew prosperity and harmony.
But there are those who watch a peaceful day and have nothing to savor. Like the Wartoks and Halfmen. Creatures who were once at peace with the humans. They began to crave power. The craving set an evil fire that burns in their souls and can never be extinguished. Traitors, some even within the Order of the flame, made a grab for power. The Golden Age disintegrated into warfare. When the blood dried in the last battlefield, there were no victors of human and dragon. The dragons retreated into a deep sleep, a separate world guarded by the mother dragon. In order for the mother dragon to be awakened, four doors must be reclaimed and opened only by one; the great dragon Arokh who retreated deep into the mountains of Surdana could bring hope back to the world. He slept silently awaiting for a companion to share souls with. The doors or portals were hidden, scattered in four regions of Drakan. They must be reclaimed to open the Mother eye; the main door way to the dragons. The Mother Eye was located in a guarded castle in Surdana.
The world sat in what was now the dark ages. Creatures like Wartoks and Halfmen destroyed villages throughout Drakan. They killed villagers and took order from evil creatures called the Dessert Lord who called the Valley of the Fallen their home. The world began to fall as the human population decreased. To this day Drakan suffers from the war so long ago. Lawlessness rules as the creatures attack the few pockets of civilized society left in Drakan.

ok we begin when Ajah and her brother go hunting for foor for thier father's village they have not yet found the dragon yet

The food is scarce along the eastern ridge of the forest, we will have to travel toward the Surdana mountians. Well be back in two days, longer if the hunt goes unspoiled. Rynn explained to her father in an angry tone Rynn I know you want to go with us to koin Mychala's forces against the dessert lords, but you are young and you are a woman. You know what the people of Surdana think of woman warriors; whitches, They'd hang you if they had the chance, Rynn's father explained. Rynn walked away and jumped upon her brown hose. Come on Ajah we must go before the sun falls. We will make camp at the forests edge.

Ajah did not speak for he saw the anger in Rynn's eyes. He jumped upon his black horse and the two left the villages wall and headed for the forest. Rynn's eyes were fixed upon the forest, watching and searching for any sudden movements

Ruben looked back to Rynn with a kind smile. (for he found Rynn to be one of the prettiest girls he had ever met) "yes, I do believe I have enough for a few days" he said steering his horse to ride beside Rynns horse.

All was quiet agian. As Rynn steered her horse her eyes filled with tears, she wiped them away and kept her eyes forward. The sky began to darken and Rynn though it was time to find a place to camp. Over there by the river bank. We can water the horses and set up for supper, I brought soup and we can heat it on a fire.

Thats nice of you, we will wake early to get a morning start on the hunt. We need to bring back at least a few deer to the village. Rynn said as she started a fire. Ajah watered the horses and wased himself in the river

As the sun peered over the Surdana mountians Rynn awoke the others to begin the hunt.

As Rynn and the others continued into the forest they slipped silently through the clearings. The forest wasd thick and game was hard to find. Rynn always had her bow ready. When they came to a cliff they tied off thier horses to a tree and carefully climbed down

Ruben climed down carefully with the rest looking out for the others as the cliff was steap and he hated to see any of his friends fall and enjoure themselves.

Half the day had passed before they had finally reached the botttom. Rynn heard hooves running before them, she got her bow ready and prepared to shoot. When she realized what she was aiming at it was a huge buck leading a herd of deer to a river. She ducked and prepared to aim sucessfully, she puleld the arrow back and let go. The deer scattered not knowing who whas hit. Rynn smiled and looked at the other two proudly as the old buck lie twenty feet from them lifeless

Ruben smiled taking the dagger from Rynn then looked to her humourously and said, "right" then walked off to dress the lifeless dear gesturing for Rynns brother to follow him.

As the day faded they prepared to head home, they tied a rope around the deer's neck and drug it up the cliff. When they finally reached the top the horses were uneasy, Rynn heard something in the distance and smelled smoke The Grull! They will see us if we go to the forest line, we will have to camp here tonight. The horses smell blackwings in the air as well. D oyou think we should stay here Ruben?

They set up camp again, they covered the deer carcass with snow before it spoiled and they waited for the sun to arrive agian. The wings of the blackwings were no londer heard, but smoke filled the air and began to worry Rynn

Ruben thought this over for a moment before running to his horse and begnning to saddle him. "your right, Rynn we have to get back home and see if anyones in trouble!"

They began to charge out of the forest leaving thier kill in the forest, thats when they saw three blackwings hoovering in the air. They spotted the three riders and dove at them Press your horses, they must flee!
(A grull is a creature the size of a hobbit and looks like pig creatures, they travel with wartocks. Wartocks look like Minotaurs a little bit they camp together, but the grull are the ones that decide everything, for the wartocks arent that smart)

"I can't believe it either..." said Ruben sadly walking over to rynn and pulling her into a hug hoping that would somehow bring her some comfort as he himself felt tore up inside from what all the Wartocks had done to there beloved village.

Ruben and the others finally arrived at the cliffs and Ruben quickly took Rynns and and hid with her and her brother behind the cliffs. "I sure hope this works..." said Ruben in a somehwta worried tone.

As the night passed on the sound of thier enemies faded, but the smell of blood polluted the air. As the sun chased away the darkness Rynn was the first to awake, She looked at the others and they were still asleep. She smiled at them and looked at her surroundings. She couldnt believe how deep they travled into the mountians. She then noticed a lcave with a lightning shaped entrance. Curiously she got up and walked toward it without waking the others. She peered in and something sparkled in the distance. She took anouther look at her brother and Ruben to make sure they were still sleeping. Then took one step into the cave. She slowly wlked to the back and saw a dragon statue with its hands streached out, in its hands was a long sword. Rynn reached for the sword and ran her fingers along the sword's edge. It was sharp and looked as if it were never used before. As she picked it up and clutched it into her hands the ground began to shake. And the dragon statue began to crack. As the layers of stone fell off, skin was uncovered from the dragon stature.

Ruben heard the commotion coming from the cave Rynn was in and quickly woke Rynns brother saying, "hurry wake up Rynn might be in trouble!" he then took of running in the direction he heard the commotion coming from and soon found the cave Rynn was in and ran inside but the sight he saw was amazing and he had never exspected to see such a sight he walked still awe-struck to Rynn and asked in an awed tone of voice, "what happend?"

Put my sister down! Ajah yelled as he ran toward the dragon. The dragon out spread his wings and gave a loud roar. Do not come any closer, for if you hurt me it will hurt your sister as well. The dragon growled . He was a red coloe with a tail as long as a seqoua tree. At the end was three pointed horns and it swerved infront of him to keep Ajah a good distance away from him.

The Mother dragon (Only female dragon to ever live) formed an alliance with Queen Mychala and together we formed the "Bond" The bond is when the dragon and human soul is connected into one and together they became great warriors of the Order. The Order is our alliance. When the souls connect we know everything about eachother. Rynn is the second female to ever create a bond with a dragon. She found me and awakened me, and know Surdana calls, I can feel despair in the air.
When the Dessert Lords had defeated most of the dragon riders what was left of the dragons fled to an unkown world. Only a dragon had the power to reopen to gate to call back the mother dragon. I was left behind until someone worthy enought to reopen the gates came. I saw strength in her so I awoke for her.

The Mother dragon (Only female dragon to ever live) formed an alliance with Queen Mychala and together we formed the "Bond" The bond is when the dragon and human soul is connected into one and together they became great warriors of the Order. Rynn yelled as she showed The King Trog the dragon symbol on her sword. .He gasped as he saw the symbol. So you are the dragon rider!? What is your buisness here!?

To retrieve the staff you hold on your vary hand!SHe yelled at him. The Trog looked down at the staff If you can kill me in battle then you may have the staff! Are you challenging me?Rynn asked. The Trog laughed Hardly a chalange! I have eaten human women like you fore breakfast! Sucure the other two! If she dies, we will have a feast on these fools tonight! If I die then she may have the staff and carry on about her buisness! Whitch I highly doubt! At that moment two tregs grabbed Ajah and Ruben, a circle was formed as Rynn and the King Trog wer about to fight

Rynn stood slanted redy to battle. The King Trog had a big smile on his face when his servant brought him his huge sword. It had a thick blade and looked as if it could slice throught a boulder. Rynn did not show fear, but she felt sweat roll down her back The Trog looked down at her and then it began. He took the first swing, Rynn ducked and the sword swang around and hit anouther Trog. The Trog fell to the ground with a slash across its nuck. Rynn saw that it did not do to much damage. Thje blade was dull. She swun hers and he blocked they went int a sword fight, and Rynn mastered it. Alsmot five minutes passed whrn The King finally had a new move, anouther sword was tossed to him. With one he triped Rynn and she stumbled to the ground and gave a cry, then saw anouther sword following her path. She rolled to the side as the blade came crashing down to the ground. Dust flew up as she arose to her feet. Then her sword shook and lit up like some sort of power passed threw it. Rynn's eyes turned red and she attacked fiercly. It was too much for the Troig and thenRynn stabbed him in the heart. All was quiet, the chanting stoped and there Te King Trog stood holding the sword that pierced his heart. Rynn yankd it out. The enemy offered a quick solution to the human race; slavery or war. Queen Mychala did the right thing by ignoring thier threats. The Half Men will began to put an army together and eventually make friends with the Half men in the Northern lands. We have to find the gate in the islands fast, that way our alliese there will be able to reach Surdana in tume for the war, then we are one more step closer to awakaning the mother dragon and the other sleeping dragons.

As they took to the sky they saw men shooting catapolts of fire covered rocks to the island directly across from them. The town was a sight of dispair as ashes rained from the sky and smeared across the land. It was too dangerouse to fly high, so Arokh landed at a camp upon the island, the men around looked fearfull, but saw a woman upon its back and grew some trust, a little bit of hope as well. A vilage lie not too far from the camp sight. Rynn dismounted Arokh and asked for the commanding officer. She was directed to a tent on the far side of the camp. When she arrived ar the camp see entered I believe you are the commanding officer, are you not? She questioned. A midaged man sat depresingly on his chair before a desk covered with maps and battle lay outs. He looked up at Rynn Yes, my name is Imsha, I rule this island. What is your buisness here? If what you ask is prostitution there is no time or mood for that now. He said angrily and looked back down at the maps. Rynn gave a look of disgust and walked closer to him I beg your pardon? Maybe the dragon and I should just leave then! SHe sarcastically yelled. Arokh crumpled the catapolts and Rynn untied the rest of the captured soilders and the rest of the Wartocks retreated into the caves.

Rynn and Arokh took to the sky hoovering to let Ruben and Ajah pass them from underneath, then Arokh flew beehind them. After what seemed like hourse the horse's pace slowed downed to a slight prance. The ycame to a huge brige that led to the secoond island =. It was long almost two miles, narrow and very old.
