I love Watership Down, and really hope that one day someone will make a film of it superior to the animated film.

The lack of depth got to me. Getting in and out of Efrafa was a piece of cake compared to the book, though they did give General Woundwort the royal treatment and the near death of Bigwig in the snares was really gripping.

The music was that movie's strong point. I have the OMPS and am familiar with it as a separate work as much as I am in hearing it in context.

Climbing the dawn really captured the mood. "Oh look, you can see the whole world!" Again, the music....SAINT Angela Morley, I am not worthy!

Yes, they did. I think it was late 70s. Art Garfunkel had a hit with his song in it called "Bright Eyes".
But if they remade it I would definately want Dreamworks to do it.

Nor have alot of people. I really hope that someone will revive it though, as it is one of my most treasured novels and deserves so much more attention that it is presenty recieving.
