On average film casting takes about 8 months. It was different for the first film because there wasn't a specific release date when they began and they were able to take 18 months looking for the right kids.

Unfortunately, the "nurse" is a male character, the only female parts other than Susan and Lucy are those of an old Hag/Witch or bit parts that they did CGI on in the first one.

HOWEVER, you never know how they might adapt the script, and add bits here and there. Keep your eyes peeled.

I think there may be some confusion between the nurse and Dr. Cornelius, who was the half-dwarf tutor who replaced her after she was sent away. The nurse herself doesn't have much space in the story, being referred to only indirectly (except at the very end, when Aslan finds her sick abed and heals her.)
