Don't you think, with maybe a few exceptions, Dawn Treader is almost like the fantasy version of Master and Commander???

like by changing the whole story of it, yeah. but otherwise, no. like Reep and Dragon Island and all those, they are a HUGE part of VDT. quite different from Master and Comander.

well i watched Master and Comander today. it's a good movie. i liked it. my bro said that it was a "guy's" movie. but what would i know about that? haha. it's a good movie. and now that i've actually seen it, i still think that it doesn't...uh..wait... it's nothing like VDT. completely the oposite. and totally wrong. what? not totally wrong. that doesn't even make sense.

I'm not really seeing the comparasin. The main plot of Master and Commander (the movie anyway; haven't read any of the books) is capturing the enemy ship, while its side plot is about the captain's pride. The main plot of VotDT is an adventure story seeking out lands and the end of the world, while its side plot is the redemption of Eustace.
Maybe visually they could be similar, but really I can't see that happening either. Sorry, I don't really see any connection between the two except for they both have a ship and they go to the far side of the world (however for different reasons).

I don't think they are much alike, I do like Master and commander though and VDT is a really good book!
