I just want all of you to know about this new series of books that are out called the Legends of the Guardain-King. The first book is called Light of Eidon and the second book is called The Shadow Within, with hopefully many more books to come. You guys need to know that these books are GREAT! Some of the content of these books can be put right up there in LotR territory for greatness. There are all sorts of things in these books to please the fantasy lover (and the LotR lover as well). It mainly follows one man by the name of Abramm Kalladorne. I don't want to give much away, but there is definately adventure in these books, with evil humans on the side of the Black Moon, evil creatures that will make you shiver, and the awesome powers that are held by the followers of Eidon (basically God). The first book did seem to start out slow, but it got better midway through, and better yet towards the end. The second book is no comparison to the first. It is ten times better, which is a LOT! I couldn't put The Shadow Within down. If you don't check these books out, then you are missing out. If you can stick through the first part of Light of Eidon, you will thoroughly enjoy the series. If any of you guys have read this book, please post what you think below. Any questions? Ask them here.

Thanks! I've been wondering which fantasy series to tackle next. I'll give it a shot and see. What's the author's name?

Ah! Of course, the author's name. :) The author of The Legends of the Guardain-King is Karen Hancock. She has a website you can visit at www.kmhancock.com. I suppose I should also mention that the next book in the series is called The Shadow Over Kiriath due to come out in October '05. It may take a year for her to crank out a book, but it is well worth the wait.

Thanks! I haven't read very many women fantasy writers that were to my liking, but hopefully this will be better..
