does anyone here like david eddings and his the melloreon series,and all the others he has witten involveing belgareth the socerer and polgera the soceress and belgairion the sorcher. what do you think of them i like them alot.

I recommend the Belgariad and the Mallorean to people all the time at my bookstore! I haven't read the new series yet: The Elder Gods (still haven't even started the latest Robert Jordan or George R. R. Martin book yet).

Have you ever read Edding's other series? One of the books was called the Shining Ones. I couldn't believe it was by the same author! Not good.


Don't know if they're available in Britain, but if you like Eddings, I bet you'd like Dave Duncan's "King's Blades" novels.

I have all books Released by Eddings to date. Read them all more than once aswell.

The Elder Gods books are great. You really should get round to reading them.

ive just started reading the shineing ones and so far im very impressed by them and the elder gods are brillent as well. but i like all his titles

is it also Eddings that wrote the Sparhawk series?
The Saphire Rose etc.
If so those are absolutely fabulous.

What I don't like about the Sparhawk books is the anachronisms in Sparhawk's speech. Every time he uses the phrase "kind of" it bumps me back into this world.
