It all depends if the characters are real, if the characters are animated, then by all means they should be CGI, however, if they aren't, then they should be the living, breathing thing.

i think they should be real as much as they can; after all, it shouldn't be too hard to get a hold of trained horses! However, they will probably have to put some CGI in it, especially when they do things normal horses wouldn't.

Yeah, especially with the talking thing going on. I think that Bree and Hwin should be real horses, with added digital aspects to them.

I would say real horses...all they need to do is making them "talk",but that part is easy with a computer.I think it would be difficult to make it all realistic if they had computer-made horses..

I think they'll probably use a mix, but I would rather see real horses with computer faces for talking. I like the idea of actors and actresses interacting will real animals.

Should I audition for Aravis in real life ? I have dark bown hair, dark eyes, tomboyish, have around 7-9 horses in real life, I can ride horses, and when they audition fo it, I'll be aound 18! Tell me what you think.

I'm sure they will be real horses (as what will the children ride?). And then they would need CGI aspects, as most have already said.

I agree with most people here. I think it will be a combination like Edmunds horse, Phillip. They will use real horses mostly except do cgi on them when they are needed to talk.

yeah, if they used CGI horses for everything, it would be a waste of money and time. They can easily just combine the two, but they'll be using real horses more often. Besides, if you want int to look like the real thing, it has to be an actual horse *nods*
