while considering the fact that we do have a roleplay section going on here in the forum, i was wondering if anyone might be interested in sending a petition to Wizards of the Coast to make a D&D style roleplaying game of narnia itself. Just wnat to hear some feed back and suggestions anyone might have, especially the older(not to omit WISER) members of the board.

Just speaking of the economics of the idea, I don't think the Wizards of the Coast would need to receive a petition to become aware of the demand for a Narnia RPG. The success of the first movie--not to mention the sales of the books for the last fifty years--would show them that.

The problem would be with obtaining the rights, and balancing their cost against any projected sales. To my knowledge, there has never been a Lord of the Rings RPG, and probably for that reason.

If they can make money off it, it will happen without a petition; if they can't, no petition will convince them to lose money.

I think a dedicated DM could probably do a good campaign in a Narnia setting within one of the RPG systems extant. It would be an interesting exercise. How would you deal with magic? Only evil magic-users? How about clerics? Would there be Aslan-worshippers and Tash-worshippers? (I don't think there are any clerics of any kind in CoN as written.)
