Yes, but Andrew Adamson (the director) decided to make Prince Caspian next since all 4 Pevensie children are in it.

Yes, but she said she wanted to audition for Aravis, who is in the fifth book. Do you think Horse and his boy would make a good movie? It's mostly travel and dialoge.

I don't think it would.....maybe Hollywood will add something to it....but I think the end is great, though. Especially Aslan.

dosen't matter really anyway because they aren't even starting filming until around october in new zealand and so casting won't be starting just yet. give it about 2 more months. and it won't be as open as LWW casting was.

I think it would be great to audition! I was in a performance of LWW a couple of years ago around Easter. I mean I was Lucy and that is…well…taken. So I want to audition for Prince Caspian but there are really no older girls in it other than Susan and that would never do.Do any of you have any Idea what to do for auditioning? I mean do you send in a cideo of yourself acting or what?

If you want a role in any of the films, your going to need to work a lot harder.

1. Get an agent. It's almost impossible to get a huge role without an agent.
2. Your going to have to be willing to travel over 25 miles. Prince Caspian will be filmed in New Zealand and L.A. California (amongst many other miscellaneous locations).
3. You have to be active. You need to be calling the casting directors and assistants. Apply for forums to fill out. Get in their paper work! Send them videos of yourself acting if they ask for more info.
4. Work on your body shape. I have no idea what you look like, but if you don't look like the description of your character... fix that. You will be turned down no matter how talented you are if you don’t look naturally like your part.
5. Be active in acting. Stay "in shape", get roles in local plays, get in a players guild.
6. Get support from you parents/guardians.

And so on.

I hear so many people plan their lives around a certain role in a film or something, but they are doing it all wrong.

If you want that role... earn it. :)

well put. It takes a lot of work to make it. I just want to go into script writing and possibly directing. I would love to work on a Narnia movie, but at this point I'm working hard and hoping that by the time the Last Battle's turn comes around, I'll have made a name for myself and could have a chance to work on the film. Other than that, follow cslewisfan's advice. its all about advertising yourself and your talent.

Yeah....
Filming in NZ again (hopefully!). That's great! I live in NZ!
I might ask my agent if I can be an extra in Narnia when they film!
Hey, I might not get a line but I get to work with some great people and earn a name for myself with directors and cast!

Are you planning on going to college for screen writing or is it more of a hobby/possible career?
Unless you have a really good "connection base" in the film world, I doubt you'll make it without some sort of degree.

People always rave about acting, but I agree with you. Directing would be so much more fun!

If it's not rude to ask... how much do you pay your agent? Is your agent independent?
Good luck with a role as an extra!

Of course it's not rude!
Why do you want to know though?

How much do I pay: a couple of hundred a year. My money I earn from doing jobs will get split with my agent for her wages.

I don't get you with indpendent? What do you mean there?

I meant by him/her being independent, working for an acting agency, or just for you.

Yeah, she does work with a company, like the company supports her but I am her only person so far! She has supported other people before!
You know the Native Girl in King Kong? Well she is the same agency!
I wish i could star in a movie that big, but instead of KING KONG I want it to be....... NARNIA!!!!

I've been in quite a few plays but not the cinema.
Many people have told me I'm excellent and very entertaining, but I don't like acting much, really. Maybe cinema is more fun because you can act off of facial inflection as well as body personality and voice pitch.

Who knows :p

I think directing a large budget film would be much more fun.:)

yay, someone else. I love the idea of directing. Who knows, maybe I can dream of directing the Last Battle. If not, I'll just try for the next good fantasy series. Tamora Pierce's books would be fun to make.

I heard that they were going to be filming in LA from somwhere. does that mean that they would or might cast for Prince Caspian in the USA

Kate12whisper13

I think Prince Caspian will still be Brittish! Are you sure there not doing CGI in a LA studio or something like that?

Getting an agent: look in your yellow pages in your phone book or do a search on the internet and find your best agency! Don't just find one and agree on one, ring all of the ones sutible for you up and then just choose the best from your options!
Or if you want to audition for Prince Caspian wait and see if they are holding open auditions and go along and try out!

That's great advice Kate12wisper13 but it doesn't help any of us guys or u girls if we can't find out where these open auditions are being/going to be held. If u hear anything juicy in that line of thought, please poste it for us!!!!

They filmed in LA for the last movie, but they might not need to (except, maybe in side Aslan's How and such) because indoor snow scenes won't be needed.

I would bet my left arm auditions (if there are even any open auditions) will not be in the US.

The auditions will be in the UK mostly... I will tell any gossip I know, but so far I don't know any!
Open auditions will be announced maybe on the proper Narnia site, or maybe the BBS kids section! They told about the Luna Lovegood auditions!

Why don't you guys just go on an audition search on the internet search engines. There are a few Audition-agencies offering help to get into the business.

CSLewis is mostly right about the film being shot with mostly British actors but I do think the auditions will be spread farther out this time.

Wait you haven't read Narnia books? but you love the movie. it just can't work that way you have to know the books to act in the movie. Oh and good luck you all of you who want to play in a movie. I want to but i can't act worth crap so there is not point. But it would still be cool to act in a Narnia movie.

For the Horse and His Boy I think I could play the part of Aravis. I'm the right age and I'm half chines. I've acted before in small stuff like church plays and got the leading female roles. I have also been in ballet performances and work well with horses but i'm not a pro. I live in the USA and maybe because the Aravis part does not require a british acsent I could be an option, though I don't have an agent and don't think my parents would push for one or at least not my dad and there is always the money issue. good thing there is plenty of time before the Horse and His Boy comes out for the tides of change to work! =_O
