oy....umm...good question!!....I think the 1st one....Cimorene kinda is at her best in that one!....I was sorta sad when they switched characters in the last one...but I think that you should read the 4th one 1st in this case...normally I read in publishling but I think it woulda been cool if it had been 4, 1, 2, 3, or something....especially if they took out the part at the end when Daystar learns all this stuff about his parents..I think it would add to the mystery.....anyway what do you think?

What are these books about?

the first 1 is about a princess(cimorene) who runs away because shehates being a princess and sheis being forced 2 marry this guy who i would hate 2 marry myself. she ends up living with a dragon, which is actually really cool for her, and she ends up really liking dragons. then she meets a wizard and figures out that all the wizards r planning 2 kill the king of the dragons and make 1 evil dragon the king. ao she meets up with another princess sorta like her, a stone prince, and a witch called morwen(who is good) and stops the wizards from doing that and makes the dragon that cimorene was working 4 king

the rest i don't remember that well, bot i know that;

2- in 3rd person about the prince of the enchanted forest(mendenbar)

3- in 3rd person about morwen

4- in 1st person a bout cimorene's and mendenbar's son(daystar)

2-is about the King of the Dragons disapering, and giant Burn spots appearing in the magic forest. Mendanbar (king of the Magic forest) goes to talk to the King of the Dragons (Kazul) cuz he thinks its dragons. Meets Cimorene and they end up going on a journey together. To find Kazul. They find her, its all the wizards faults and Cimorene and Mendanbar get married. YAY!!

3-The SWORD HAS BEEN STOLEN!! The magic sword of Mendanbar was stolen (by wizards) Morwen is having trouble with this guy who says she isnt a "real witch" or something and there is a 6 foot something blue donkey/rabbit with wings!!ack! They have to go on a trip to rescue the sword only Mendanbar cant come!!ahh..!Than by the time they get back, Mendanbar is locked in the Castle and nobody can get in. The only way to break into the castle and free Mendanbar is one of the Kings family members, of wich only Daystar exists, and he is still inside his mothers womb.

4-Daystar is telling his story and he doesnt know anything. And he frees the King and blah blah blah! Shiara (a fire-witch) he met on his journey thourgh the Enchanted Forest becomes Kazul's princess.

I love Morwen, also Telemain! He is so funny, and (I read the 2nd one for a book group I'm in) at book group we said Telemain was your typical geek! We all loved him! And I am so happy that Telemain and Morwen end up together! I knew they would from the minete it is discovered that they are old friends!!

i could not beleive they married! i always thought telemain was the boy who pulled your pigtails in 1st grade for morwen, she always was acting like that

I really liked the fourth one. I think the problem is most people read them all and so you're all excited to get to see more of Cimorene in the fourth book but there's not really anything about her until the end. But I thought the fourth book was fascinating. Still, the first book is the best. I like all the mocking references to fairy tales.

So...I'm bumping up an old thread, because I have to say, I LOVE the Enchanted Forest Chronicles! They're so funny and entertaining. Actually, Patricia C. Wrede is just one of my favorite authors. Anyone here read The Enchanted Chocolate Pot?
